Yes. Word on the street is Chaves made a big bid, a noteworthy bid, and they still beat that. O well, let wreck their Holliday.

Stadiums are similar size...SELA with a stadium half the size of Villanova outbid them as well

do you think was any cooperation with the city to use some "mayor brown one-for-the-road food budget" to help und considering the sales tax rev that would come back to them?

It ain’t what is Bubba made of, its what are these players made of. TV guys showed us no respect. At some point these guys need to play a consistent 60 min game with no mental errors to the best of their ability.

Congrats on making the playoffs, definitely deserved it. If you move on to face NDSU, I think you'll play a much tougher game than earlier this year. I see UND keeping it around 14, and NDSU probably won't pull away until mid 3rd quarter

He needs to have them ready and playing inspired football on the road. Can’t wait til the second half to figure it out and play with some passion. It’s been an issue under him.

Going into the season, we had an unproven O-coordinator, lacked size at Nose, no break away receivers, Izzo had us winning what 3 games I think and early season lost 1st and 2nd QB’s, had the horrible loss to ISU. (which I thought our season was done), we won 4 of last 5 and playing improved football.

Now in playoffs we can play the spoiler and beat Nichols. Hopefully we get more guys healthy and play some physical football.

You are 100% correct.  I am very happy to make the playoffs.  However, watching the last two home games I did not see an assignment sharp team.  When they put it together they play good ball.  Past time to gain some game focus.

Well we know the Nicholls State coaching staff is capable of making a few head scratching decisions. It was like they tried to lose on purpose to SELA on Thursday night but then SELA refused to win.

Just for context for anyone who doesn't recall, UND 6-0 at home this year; just 1-4 when playing on the road

Nichols and UND both have 4 losses. We beat San Houston and they got beat 17 to 0 to Sam Houston. We are going to their place. Curious how the bids compared.

Friend of mine forwarded me a news article about Nicholls State bid packages and strategy...looks like they bid right around 80k for this round.

After reading the pre-announcement article from the local newspaper in Thibodaux it appears they were very willing to overbid to host. They had their CVB and city behind them (not that UND didn't but their alleged $80,000 bid is probably the highest the NCAA received).

Maybe for the first round. The article states that bidding by the bigger boys starts at $200k and goes up from there.
