Oxbow6 Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 If UND doesn't chuck it all over the last 2 series there a minute left.....not 3::30 Quote
Feff Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 Defense is gassed, just getting torn apart on the ground now. Quote
Oxbow6 Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 Worst play call I've seen in years.....thank you! 1 Quote

Sioux>Bison Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 Our D line has been holding pretty well this year for all the complaints on this site. that is until they are gased, good to see the D step up big today! 1 Quote
Sioux94 Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 Can’t believe how far we regressed at run blocking. How did we ever run for 60 yards against NDSU. Need to start running wide or something, there is absolutely nothing up the middle against a team that is not known to be all that tough. Seemed like we were trying to run up the middle against the 85 Bears. Santiago had over 100 yards against University of Washington. Quote
RapidSioux Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 Pretty impressive from Tommy Football. Sure he made a Freshman mistake on the pick, but kudos to Danny making some adjustments and letting the kid get into a rhythm.... Stares down receivers and became a bit dependent on Wanzek, but to see that kid come in in that moment today looked pretty good. D came up with plenty of stops as well. 3 Quote
Feff Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 You start to see the lack of depth on the d-line late in games but the defense performed very well today. I give Schmidt all sorts of credit for his second half adjustments. The lone SHSU td in the 2nd half was pretty much just from the defense being gassed and missing tackles. Schuster did well for this first collegiate action. If he's the guy for next week I'm interested to see how he performs with a week of practice with the 1's. He showed flashes, but his interception was just a bad throw. The offensive line needs to figure out how to run block. We absolutely need to find a running attack and it all starts with the line. 1 Quote
tnt Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 Happy to win, but you can’t win consistently at any level of football if you can’t run the ball. Funny, but we are predictable the other way this year. You would think throwing the ball so much would open up the run. Having the o-line lose weight seems odd to me. You still win by controlling the line of scrimmage. That has got to be better if they want to win consistently going forward. 1 Quote
Midwestern Hawk Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 Great win today under the circumstances! Big stop by d at end! Quote
bang Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 Loved seeing a true freshman compete today. Not saying they should give it to him but he’s in the running to earn the spot, I’d say anyway. 1 Quote
