Siouxphan27 Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 I'm kinda hoping Youngstown gets screwed here at the end somehow just to see the Pelini reaction... 1 Quote
sprig Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 EWU should have let them score more quickly so they could finish with the ball Quote
farce poobah Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 Everytime I think I understand what a "catch" is, I get proved wrong. Wow. Quote
Old School Guy Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 Wow! That's why i love playoff football. Quote
Siouxphan27 Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 Nice backflip by the moron thinking the game was over after the kneel down. 1 Quote
Sioux>Bison Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 So where are all these EW trolls when you need them? Seems like karma struck tonight. A loss like this brings up some bad fresh memories. Quote
ChrisUND1 Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 Wow. Playoff football in the FCS is amazing. 2 Quote
Wilbur Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 Glad my wife stole the remote for the last two minutes of the game..... Another late EWU loss in the semifinals at home. Yikes. Quote
Old School Guy Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 Gotta applaud both teams playing in an ice bucket tonight. They both left it on the field tonight. Quote
tnt Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 Eastern Washington's loss shows me even more we are going down the right path by following the Bison example of a ball control offense and dominating defense. Eastern Washington had a comfortable lead and didn't even attempt running, going downfield just about every down. If this was a one time thing for them it would be different, but they traditionally need to outscore teams, and that doesn't work so well come playoff time. More depth and beef and UND should be well set to challenge consistently. 3 Quote

Just "playing coverage" and "keeping it in front of you" isn't enough, especially come playoff time. Quote
Wilbur Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 Game gives me hope that UND can beat EWU next year with Bubba ball. Run the ball down their throats....Santiago, Brady, J.J. I wonder if the crazy prediction octopus had JMU and YSU going for the natty. 1 Quote

The octopus in Germany made famous during the 2010 World Cup? He died a few months later, please and blessings be upon him. 1 Quote
gsiouxo Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 would have liked our chances against E washington with our running game and E Washingtons defense….darn it!! Quote

We are not there yet. We don't have the weapons on offense to exploit EWU. But I think we are close. Quote
Oxbow6 Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 I don't know what a "catch" is at any level of football anymore. 1 Quote

He didn't lose possession of it, he had his feet inbounds.....that is a catch. If the DB had been watching for the ball instead of grabbing the WR's jersey, EWU might be making plane reservations for Frisco right now, instead of cleaning out their lockers for the offseason. Wilbur Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 Watched the replay ten times. I think it's a catch. Crappy way to lose, but UND knows all about that one. 2 Quote
