siouxfan512 Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 We need to turn some things around this week to get our second straight FBS win. First and foremost is to establish our run game to sustain drives, wear down the defense and control the clock. Best approach from limiting their passing offense is to keep them off of the field. I think our front 7 will keep their run game in check, but they are certainly a threat through the air. This is a very different team from last season, with a new coach and a ton of turnover, especially on offense. If anyone watched their bowl game last year, they got absolutely torched on the ground by Georgia Southern. If Santiago can get going, and the rest of the stable can wear down the D, UND can definitely get in the win column. Keaton does not have to win this game for us, or pass for 300 yards, but he does need to be more effective, and make costly mistakes. Last I heard there was about a 60% chance of rain and windy in the forecast, which could definitely play into our favor a bit; that being said Weather isn't going to actually win or lose the game for you. I'm taking my squad to bounce back and Santiago to get going. 31-24 Fighting Sioux! Go get em boys! Not really going out on a limb here, but I'm banking on Reyes having a big game. If Knapke is as inaccurate as last week, our boys need to step up and force some turnovers. Quote
bang Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 28-17 BGSU. Santiago does get to 100 yards on the ground but turnovers kill us. Quote
MoSiouxFan Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 31-28 UND, if we get over 200 on the ground. Otherwise, 31-21 BG. Quote
Nodak78 Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 I won't predict a score. But if we rush for over 200 and win the turnover battle we win. Quote
The Sicatoka Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 Wet weather game with wind. Oh ... not that kind of prediction. How about 19-16 good guys. 1 Quote
Oxbow6 Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 UND moves up the polls with another quality loss..........31-17 BG. Quote
UND1981 Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 High scoring game, we lose. Low scoring game, we win. Based upon the weather forecast, we win! Quote

I don't think UND will have enough fire power on offense to win this but I will predict the defense has a solid game keeping BG's offense contained. 27-17. Quote
The Sicatoka Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 A running team getting 21.5 on what is supposed to be a windy, rainy day. Tempting ... Quote

geaux_sioux Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 I predict that I won't be in San Francisco for this game which should help Studs with his passing. Quote

I hope he can start the BGSU game the way he was playing towards the end of the Stony Brook game. If Studs starts off well I'll feel better about our chances. The weather may be a factor as well. Hawkster Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 My heart wants to predict a win so badly, but head says otherwise. 24-16 BG Quote
UND-1 Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 Stony Brook....woof. down 21-0 already to Temple. Quote

Sioux94 Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 I will be watching and hoping for the upset.......but a hurry up, throw the ball FBS team just isn't a good matchup for our secondary so I'll say 38-24 BG. Quote

homer Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 I'm not confident we see our first win this week. We don't match up well with these offenses, I don't see our offense performing well in a shootout game. Quote
