At the rate he's going right now he may take the Hobey and be playing for the Jets next year. Heard Red is employing a hypnotist to ensure that this same kind of Dylan Larkin repeat doesn't happen. If that doesn't work, then physical detainment is the next step. Quote
brianvf Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 Bummed that CC couldn't get a point or two out of SCSU...they kept it close. I have a feeling that tonight won't be as close. Quote
brianvf Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 UMN got their revenge on PSU today, winning 7-1. They're almost to .500 now. Quote

They've been respectable against UNO and Providence and beaten BC and Cornell. As repugnant as the idea is, it is only a matter of time before one of these newbie football schools puts together a serious hockey team. And it is probably good for the game in the long run. It would be fun to see the Hawks go down to Columbus and teach them how to play D1 hockey. I'm more surprised at how bad Ohio State has been historically than I am about them somehow becoming an "average team." Quote

Omaha started in 1997 and is head and shoulders ahead of them. Penn State just started and is already passing Ohio State. Quote

I don't think it has to matter, but I think that it can. It all depends on choices by the athletic department. Quote

Wisconsin fans would definitely differ with you on that. Minnesota hasn't had a football team in forever. Michigan would be the best example of a football school (and Bball) that is consistently good at hockey. Quote

WiSioux Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Crowd at the Western/Notre Dame game on CBS Sports is weak. Notre Dame leads 3-1 with 13 min left Quote
WiSioux Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Andy Murray is irate. After letting three huge hits in the corner go while a pick battle in the feet goes on, the refs call the fourth hit as a charge. Quote
farce poobah Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Watching the St Cloud vs CC game. St Cloud announcers are piffed. Enjoying this a bit too much. final score 5 2. Quote
WiSioux Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Wow! Western ties it with 22 seconds left 3-3 Quote
farce poobah Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Andy Murray is now less irate. 3 3 going to OT. Quote
SiouxFanatic Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Denver completes the road sweep of UNO. Denver starting a turnaround? Going to be a really good series next weekend between Omaha and UND. Also, go CC! They played excellent yesterday but couldn't get the W, today they won convincingly. Quote
farce poobah Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 CC win was no fluke. They outplayed the Huskies. Quote

SiouxFanatic Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 So Western Michigan scores in 2OT which is 3x3 hockey. Not sure if the players or CBS Sports Network realizes the game will show up as a tie... Quote
