Cratter Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 After beating St Cloud and losing to Duluth in OT, sounds like the U18 team would put up 10 on Huntsville. Quote

brianvf Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Duluth beat them in OT but outshot them 44-17. Sounds like a tossup for us without Schmaltz and Boeser. I'm just hoping that Tomek can make an appearance. He's a ghost goalie at this point. Quote

Guess the football game was moved as well. My CHN app didn't update the game until near 7pm, not sure why that wasn't updating (although it did for the other afternoon games) Quote
Cratter Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 I know it's "early still" but it's a crazy league this year. Boston College with a 13-4-1 record would be the last team in the tournament right now. Whats up with Harvard barely playing any games. About half the number of games as UND. Must be a Ivy league thing? Quote

brianvf Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 In a "defense-optional" game, BU beats Harvard 6-5 while scoring 3 goals in the final 4 minutes. Only Harvard's 2nd loss of the season. Quote

keikla Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Came across this questionable article today: http://college.usatoday.com/2016/01/08/top-10-u-s-colleges-for-mens-ice-hockey/ North Dakota makes the list, but clearly 'academics' was placed WAY above hockey. Even looking at academics, how do you put somewhere like Holy Cross in before Denver? Quote

bigskyvikes Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 St Cloud is so "big-time" now and their arena has a lot of empty seats! Too bad. Quote
iluvdebbies Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 Denver beats UNO 3-0. UNO outshoots the Pioneers 38-15. North Dakota moves up to third in the pairwise. Quote

burd Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 Has anyone seen Ohio State play? It's starting to look like they might have a team. They've been respectable against UNO and Providence and beaten BC and Cornell. As repugnant as the idea is, it is only a matter of time before one of these newbie football schools puts together a serious hockey team. And it is probably good for the game in the long run. It would be fun to see the Hawks go down to Columbus and teach them how to play D1 hockey. Quote
scpa0305 Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 Still shocked Kyle Conner didn't make this year's WJC team. At the rate he's going right now he may take the Hobey and be playing for the Jets next year. Quote

They may have a good second half, or they may revert to early season form. But I will surely root for them over the Gophers. Quote
