franchise Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Those three along with Kuraly makes a couple of dangerous lines. Sucks for us, but good for college hockey. Maybe they will help us out with a great out of conf record. Quote
brianvf Posted April 3, 2014 Author Posted April 3, 2014 Maybe they will help us out with a great out of conf record. They can't do much worse than they did this year in that regard! Quote
siouxforce19 Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 They can't do much worse than they did this year in that regard! Miami wasn't one of the teams that screwed us non-conference to be fair. UNO and CC on the other hand... Quote
Goon Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Stop me if you've heard this one before: Miami (OH) the pre-season favorite to win the NCHC in 2014-2015. Don't forget that they're elite. Quote
Goon Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Miami wasn't one of the teams that screwed us non-conference to be fair. UNO and CC on the other hand... If I am not mistaken, Miami was decent in non-conference play. Miami was 9-3 in the non-conference play. That counts a 3-1 record in the NCHC playoffs. Quote
UND-RedSox fan Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 I'm pretty sure Miami had the best out of conference record among NCHC teams. They went 6-2-2 and 3-1 against Wisconsin and Ohio State. Quote
The Sicatoka Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 I'm picking Miami for greatest year-to-year turnaround in win total (conference and overall) for next year. Quote
MafiaMan Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 If I am not mistaken, Miami was decent in non-conference play. Miami was 9-3 in the non-conference play. That counts a 3-1 record in the NCHC playoffs. They have a 9-3 non-conference record counting the conference playoffs? LOL. C'mon, Goon. Let's call it what it is: A 6-2 record in non-conference play. MoSiouxFan Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Stop me if you've heard this one before: Miami (OH) the pre-season co-favorite to win the NCHC in 2014-2015. FIFY. Ever hear of the Fighting Sioux? They're in the Frozen Four this year and only lose 4 seniors . Quote
Dave Berger Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 FIFY. Ever hear of the Fighting Sioux? They're in the Frozen Four this year and only lose 4 seniors . Really, they'll miss Simpson and Rodwell. And the stability/peace of mind of having a proven backup goaltender (Saunders). The team won't miss Mitch MacMillan. That's just the honest truth. Dave Quote

Dave IF UND beats Minnesota next Thurs and faces BC in the final, I will not be at all surprised to see Mitch in the lineup for that game. But first things first. Quote

Goon Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Mass-Lowell Soph. goalie Connor Hellebuyck has signed with the Jets. There's like a mass exodus at UMass-Lowell, they lost to very big pieces this off-season. Quote
SiouxScore Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Wisconsin Soph. forward Nic Kerdiles signs with the Ducks. Gotta think Wisconsin will have a tough time next season. Quote
siouxweet Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 your preseason top three next season in no particular order: UND, Miami and Minnesota. Quote

ringneck28 Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Schlossman just posted that it looks like Faragher is going to sign with the Ducks soon, what a loss that would be for SCSU. Quote
Frozen4sioux Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Ducks add another .... Ryan Faragher has signed with Anaheim as well. Quote
Wilbur Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 I for one am happy that Faragher is gone. Played some of his best hockey against UND for whatever reason. I thought for sure he'd be around for another season. I don't see him making the NHL.....unless he can play every game like he's at Ralph Engelstad arena. Quote
brianvf Posted April 5, 2014 Author Posted April 5, 2014 Wisconsin’s Nic Kerdiles signed with the Anaheim Ducks on Saturday morning, becoming the second player to leave early this offseason. Standout defenseman Jake McCabe was the first (and he’s already played in the NHL for the Sabres). The Badgers lose their top five scorers and seven of the top eight. UND goes to Madison for a series next season, but it will be a completely different-looking team. - See more at: http://undhockey.areavoices.com/#sthash.DnF8szc3.dpuf Ouch. Seven of their top eight scorers gone. This really was their year to win it all until they ran into the UND freight train. They will definitely be in a rebuilding year next season. Quote

Michigan lost key players too however I guess they do have Larkin coming in and copp and that ginger kid will be juniors. Quote
