Blackheart Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 How about name it for former Sioux winger from the 50's, Stanley Paschke? The Paschke cup sounds pretty good...or the Stanley Cup isn't bad either... Quote
Blackheart Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 Maybe if the Broadmoor stays with the WCHA they name the new playoff trophy after another hotel...like the C'Mon Inn, the Westward Ho, or the Super 8... Quote

I was thinkin more like Quality Inn or Select Inn... Edit: good call on including Super 8, just put more emphasis on the EIGHT. Quote

The Sicatoka Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 How about "Legends" and "Leaders". No. Wait. Those names are terrible for trophies too. Quote
GeauxSioux Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 The Kalk Cup. Still think one of the funniest stories that I have ever read on Siouxsports is when Mark duct taped his roommate to a chair. Quote

MafiaMan Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 That wouldn't be a bad idea, a legend in the sport and Denver is in the league. I'm liking the idea...even if it's Denver...very impressive accomplishments for Murray Armstrong... http://www.denverpos...rts/ci_16817752 1 Quote
The Exiled One Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 In honor of all the hicks from St. Cloud, Grand Forks, and Kalamazoo, I think they should name it The Hick Cup 1 Quote

Vegas_Sioux Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Well, we can't all be pretty boys with pedigrees from Minnetonka or St Thomas Academy, can we? Or Minneapolis Public Schools with a graduation rate of 50.2% 1 Quote

Godsmack Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 As much as I dis-like DU, one cannot ignore Murray Armstrong and his accomplishments at Denver. I thought it was a disgrace they didn't name their arena after him. Also, Gino Gasparini is another big time historical fixture of the old WCHA. What about his name for a post season award of some type? Quote

NorthDakotaHockey Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 In honor of all the hicks from St. Cloud, Grand Forks, and Kalamazoo, I think they should name it The Hick Cup Anything but the prestigious DQ Cup. The inflated dinks from the so-called State of Hockey have already wrapped up that lard-assed and dumb-assed trophy. Last I checked, I think it is held by one of the new WCHA teams whose collective power rankings this year dwarf those of the new Pig 10. Enjoy that brand of hockey for a few years. Wow, sucks to be a Choker fan next year. 1 Quote

Goon Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Just call it "The National Cup". With all due respect, yuck! How about the Coor's Cup? Quote

I was thinking we would wear snowmobile jackets in the SCSU fans honor. Maybe we could start calling this series the Ski Doo Cup. Quote
