Watching Toews' last game in Chicago, and then Troy Murray joins the broadcast team.

Flashback city, and a lot of memories of both.   At UND, Troy's persona was serious, and hard working.

and a lot of parallels to Toews career, both at UND and at Chicago.

Murray joined UND for the 1980-1981 Sioux team, one of 13 new players (if memory serves).  Toews' freshman season also had 13 new.

Both went to Chicago Blackhawks after two seasons. and wore #19 there.

Both won the Selke Trophy, as the best defensive forward in the NHL.

Troy Murray went to Winnipeg after Chicago, and I would bet Toews plays in Winnipeg next.  (If he plays anywhere, that is.)

Hope Toews plays at least one more season. Sign with Washington and reunite with Oshie would be fun to see.

Oshie may be on his way out of DC

That would be foolish for all parties. Washington is an aging team that needs to be rebuilt but wont until Ovie passes Gretzky.

Nice!  Congrats to Trupper!
He was always such a fun player to watch, I wish him nothing but the best as he moves up the coaching ranks.

There's quite a few UND players from that era that are making nice careers out of coaching/managing.

Pretty cool that Genoway and MacWilliam teamed up again to win a title, even playing on the same d-pairing like they used to at UND.

My wife and I actually saw Duncan and Vande playing together in Salzburg (Red Bulls) back in the spring of 2019..

Saw the photo of UND graduating student athletes yesterday and two big GPAs were in the back row (Frisch, Caulfield).

Was there to watch my daughter walk. Kudos to those two for making the effort to come back and walk with their graduating class. Great ceremony. Far cry from my day at the Hyslop. Only issue was the 3 hours......started to get a little worried like Gilligan.

Spring commencement is normally 4x or more of Winter commencement.

If you can hold Winter in the CFA at no rental cost, you do.
The Alerus doesn't do yesterday for free.

What?
You didn't like sitting three to a space for two in the bleachers in an arena with temperature somewhere between "sauna" and "purgatory"?

The Al is far better for commencements than Hyslop could ever be.
