This does not surprise.  It took him a couple of years to get up to speed in the NCAA.   Once he got there, he was terrific, but it did not bode well for his NHL chances, IMO.

Smaller guy that doesn’t have a great stride, basically has to play top 6/PP. That’s a tough role to crack

Has Beens w/ Boeser was a good listen. Decommiting from WI partly because they didn't give Sheehy or Jack Achan a look is interesting since they got Roman. Also knowing TTD was integral to sealing the deal for him shows it's worth the cost and then some.

If either of the hosts reads this, please put a timestamp link in the episode description for the interview start time. Most listeners aren't tuning in to hear what you do with your weekends.

Think you're wrong on that, those bits are gold and generate exactly what the "podcast" crowd wants IMO.

I've always found this type of thing difficult with podcasts.  When you first start listening to a podcast you don't know the hosts, the inside jokes, or any of that.  So all the off-topic banter seems like a waste of time and you just want to get to the on-topic stuff that you came for.  Once you're a dedicated listener then you start "getting" the humor in off-topic stuff.  Sometimes it does make it hard to get into a new podcast.

An absolute stud who we spotted before anyone else. Took off like a rocket in the USHL and impressed us all from day 1 in Grand Forks. Cheers to him as well the coaching staff that recruited and developed him.
