I think some of them will return to Grand Forks early to take in tomorrow's game.

Absolutely, take into account the number of students on spring break that may make an earlier appearance to grand forks before the big storm hits

I am also a little disappointed that both NCHC semi-finals will primarily overlap.  I know that each home team wants to set their game time, but I wouldn't mind if one semi-final was tonight and the other one Saturday.

Sell a few hundred today and the crowd should be strong. Regardless, league needs to rethink the price points for next week (wherever the final is held). Ralph won’t sell out & Denver had to have a flash sale due to low sales.

I received an email from the Ralph today telling me about all the available seats; $52 for upper bowl and $62 for lower bowl. (plus the standard Ticketbastard fees which will probably add another $12-$15 to the total price.  Little bit pricey...

in a FREE building hosting essentially a FREE game and they are charging these prices.....Ralph would firing peoples asses left and right if this buidling isn't full tonight and hopefully next weekend.....wtf guys

$20 lower bowl...10 upper deck...dollar dogs....

What about transportation and hotel for Duluth, as well as pay and hotels for the refs? There are costs you aren't considering.

You can barely go to a movie for $10 these days... sometimes it's more.

It's their first year, they clearly projected demand wrong. Give the conference that remains the gold standard for college hockey some credit, they will correct it next year.  We will still outdraw 99.x% of college hockey games played this season.

Remember this is a 1 game weekend

how many tickets holders live all around the state and look at the roads all around the state, more goes into buying a ticket than the price

These people are the same jackwagons that ordered their minions to go around the arena a few years back, yelling at parents because their 5-year-old Timmy was eating popcorn without putting his masks up in between bites. But I digress.....

Zero reasons for tickets to this game need to be north of $50 regardless of seating level.

No reason we should have to pay players above and beyond giving them an education either, but it is the world we live in, and if you want a competitive team you need to maximize income opportunities.  They do the same with single game tickets to specific series during the year.  I do wonder how much of this is driven by the league and also if the same structure would have been in place regardless if the remaining teams weren’t all rivals to some degree.  If it were Miami, I think the supply and demand changes quite a bit.

Not quite fair if you paid $50 for your ticket

as a siouxfan...you'd be mad that you paid 50 but the promo filled the building to the roof and we blow their asses out?

Discounting the tickets from $50 to $20 now may cause people to wait for the sale price in the future. They need come up with a reasonable pricing model in the future. The goal should be a sellout and to create an awesome playoff environment to encourage people to come back for future games. Something along the lines of $40 lower deck, $25 upper deck sounds reasonable to me.
