I’m getting sick of 5’9” 180lb rb recruits. We need to recruit better frames. Nice thing about the RB position is there are a million of them and it’s not hard to just bring one in and plug him into the depth chart. Steepest learning curve for any position. I’d like to see us snag one more, an upperclassman, after spring ball. 3 Quote

Otherwise, we should stick with the Iowa State, Nebraska, and Minnesota, etc. plan. Yeah, why play down to the Fargo group when you can play up for same money. 2 Quote

Hardcore Hawk Posted March 23 Posted March 23 I was curious about the improved focus on nutrition so I quickly compared fall 2025 and spring 2026 weights. Lots of movement, but some of the biggest losers (10 lbs or more) are: RB Griffin Broderick: 240 down to 227 LB Michael Devereaux: 235 down to 221 OL Liam Becher: 320 down to 306 TE Watson Hafer: 240 down to 230 TE Aiden Behymer: 240 down to 239 The biggest gainers are: TE Hunter Kallstrom: 230 up to 242 EDGE Brody Thornton: 220 up to 235 DL Wyatt Kuhn: 240 up to 258 OL Michael Wagner: 250 up to 276 OL Mark Bussan: 320 up to 330 DL Logyn Eckheart: 295 up to 307 1 Quote
shep Posted March 24 Posted March 24 Thanks for the nice work. Can someone explain why you would want linemen to get lighter? 1 Quote

You see a lot of ex players drop a bunch of weight when their career is over. Becher will play heavier in the fall Quote
108498 Posted March 24 Posted March 24 I brought it up on the spring practice blog, but does NDSU's move to FBS knock UND's team down several levels as it did when NDSU moved to FCS? Will alot of loyal UND fans through the fcs years and Grand Forks community members chose to back NDSU now over UND? Quote

I have ZERO patience for those front-running "I want to be a part of it" bandwagon jumpers. It absolutely makes me sick to see people jump from one bandwagon to another. Even at the height of Bison dominance in the 1980's, nobody in Grand Forks who was a genuine UND Alum and/or supporter would be caught dead cheering on NDSU-CKS. And no @Cratter, that has nothing to do with "societal conditioning". 4 1 Quote

It still surprises me the number of individuals this day and age that cheer for both. I was at the Target Center NBA City bar or whatever they called it before or after a UND game a few years back and there were people in UND attire cheering on the Bison basketball team in the NCAA tournament. Should've taken a picture of the lady at the bar in a UND hockey jersey doing a "horns up" after NDSU made a basket. I think you could see what you mentioned, or UND football gets a boost as NDSU won't be playing meaningful games in December at the Fargodome anymore. Although I'm now told that the FCS is a watered down D2 league with a bunch of bad teams by the same group that celebrates their D1 FCS championships. If they reach the status that James Madison currently occupies as a top G5 team with the possibility of games at Ohio State, Alabama, Oregon, Georgia in the playoffs then your point is valid. I'm interested to see how the crowds will be when they host the Wyomings of the world and UTEP. They may be sell outs, but will the atmosphere match what it was against SDSU? I'll hang up and listen. 1 Quote

It is truly nauseating. 2 3 Quote
