Wilbur Posted March 17 Posted March 17 It's official after Denver took CC to the woodshed. We get Hammer, and Herter, and Ferscheiler on Friday at the X. Win or the season is over with. In TJ we trust, probably 30+ times in this one. I'm asked to pass along a word of gratitude from the NCHC for the weekend not being a complete financial bust with Denver vs. ASU and Western vs. Omaha. I'll continue to pick against UND in hopes that I opened up some weird can of karma that pushes them to prove me wrong. 5-2 Western. 2 1 Quote
brianvf Posted March 17 Posted March 17 Two words. Contain. Bump. Guesses on total combined fan attendance from DU, ASU, and WMU? Maybe 500...1000? Or is even that too high. 1 2 Quote
Oxbow6 Posted March 17 Posted March 17 Vegas just posted the prop bet of Bump at O/U 1.5 points. Quote

sioux rube Posted March 17 Posted March 17 UND is a desperate team. Let's hope they play with desperation if not Western will take it easily 1 Quote
burd Posted March 17 Posted March 17 Western on Friday is a good draw. As much rest as is possible after sweeping UNO, and they may as well deal with Western up front. Lose and they didn't belong anyway. Win and it's a confidence builder for likely DU. Western is clearly the better team, but it's hockey. Win or go down fighting. 3 Quote

Popular Post AJS Posted March 17 Popular Post Posted March 17 A Berry coached team losing Friday of the Frozen Faceoff is a yearly tradition. Not this year. With some level of uncertainty surrounding this coaching staff, a growing level of displeasure from the fanbase, this is the year the Friday streak ends. Followed up by winning Saturday night and securing the automatic bid. We'll see everyone in Fargo! 5 Quote

burd Posted March 17 Posted March 17 They’ll play hard. I just don’t know if they have the passing confidence to get through 3 periods without getting bottled up in their own end for extended periods of time. TJ will have to be at his very best. But with a tip or dirty goal or two in our favor, the margin for error might be enough. Quote

To be fair things in this tournament no matter where they have been held haven't gone our way since 2012. The post Covid tournament at the Ralph in 2021 needs an asterisk. Quote
AlphaMikeFoxtrot Posted March 17 Posted March 17 We need more refs serving up pucks on a platter like Littlers goal Saturday. Quote

siouxforce19 Posted March 17 Posted March 17 2 things are true: 1. UND does not historically play well in the Frozen Faceoff. 2. The Penrose Cup champ historically does not play well in this tournament. UND is the only Penrose Cup champ to win it and that was at REA so that’s not the same. Seems like something has to give on either of these things on Friday. 1 Quote

Sometimes it works and sometimes you just look like a dipsh*t. 1 7 Quote
DL Sioux Posted March 17 Posted March 17 GF Herald reporting that UND vs. Western will be the primetime game. Kind of surprising... Quote
gfhockey Posted March 17 Posted March 17 Interesting that Berry had team stay in hotel Saturday night there assuming they had room booked as the coaching staff didn’t think they would do a seeep lol Quote
