Gotta agree. SJU makes a living picking up drop downs. School is struggling with student attendance but money for football is there.

Still hope they’re on the hunt for the front end of the defense - could be waiting for spring - but what had been done recruiting wise so far is awesome!

i was thinking for spring with some drop down.  big nasty tackles.

i would say the whole team has gotten a whole lot faster, on both sides of the ball

Always thought our defense lacked speed big-time, and size up front.  Offensively hopefully the WR add an ability to stretch the field we haven't seen much of other than Bo.

This spring will be a one-time harvest of FBS players because of the 105 player roster cap being put into place.

Will the roster cap of 105 be the norm going forward (at least until rules change again)?  If so, the 2025 "FBS players" you speak of (on FBS rosters, but probably not playing much) will be FCS players in 2026 and beyond.  they're the same players, whichever way you slice it.  The key will be recruiting that "in-betweener" to UND instead of him going to our rivals.

I imagine it will remain in place going forward.

An average FBS player could project to being an above average player in FCS.

So even if other FBS programs snatch up the best in the portal this spring, UND could noticeably improve itself by being aggressive in the spring portal period.

Has the deadline passed on transfer in players to enroll at UND for the Spring semester?

1st day of classes are January 13. Last day to add/drop is January 23.
