looked like he slowed down before the ball got there.  Even with that it hit him right in the hands.  If he'd kept running full out it would have been an even easier catch.

He slowed down because the ball was underthrown and he was trying to adjust to it. If he kept running it's probably picked off.

Yup, perfect pass to Hoskins.  As things played out, we could have been up 21-0 before they scored. 2 PI’s, Jerry’s 2 turnovers, 2 plays with missed secondary assignments, didn’t try to run outside but our oline that is supposed to be a strength didn’t dominate LOS, and defensively they pushed us around on Los. We continue to give up too many yards after contact to RB’s.
I know Ziebarth is hurt but we have gone from rotating 3 RB’s to basically 1RB who  we wore out trying to run inside yesterday. I’m not sure having our smallest RB as lead blocker for Jerry is best use of personnel. Essentially we abandoned our outside running game.  For some reason after a pass to our TE early in the game, I don’t recall throwing to any of our TE’s the rest of the game.
Our 2 games against the S.Dak schools we our worst of the year.
Lots of room for improvement, but we are capable of a playoff run.

agree we had opportunities with the TE's.  701 moving company wasn't moving.  needed some outside runs and passes to spread the defense.

Agree, but if we are going to make a playoff run, we have to tackle better, no missed assignments and play penalty free.

Yeah, even up their game, as good as it's been.

I think we might be talking about different plays.  The one I remember went off his hands and the defender was trailing.  He extended his arms to get to it but it was very catchable.

i disagree...und's "financial agreement" has hurt every sport on campus except hockey...hard.

if und hockey was still in the old REA with slight improvements they'd still be in the nchc..still a blueblood.still fine...BUT the growth in other und sports are being ignored bc of the golden goose and how the money is split up the agreement they signed onto and sent 100 different ways other than improving growth sports at und --starting with football

UND signed that agreement.  It's on UND>  UND didn't have to sign the agreement.  Need a money person or multiple persons to step up for football.  This season many have stepped up.  We have a long way to go.

That is correct. Schmidt did what he had to do to set the program up for maximum success year one. He put more on his plate strategically.

Everyone knows I have a huge issue with the play calling, qb play, and personnel on offense. Schmidt is not calling the plays. They are aggressively addressing the personnel through recruiting. Play calling can hinge on personnel. Either way, I expect better from Isaac.

Enjoy the next few years, Bubbaball is dead. We have a really good young head coach.

Schmidt took a pay cut to get this program moving.

If his recruiting classes are as good on the field as they look on paper, we'll be in business.

Totally. When I first heard that he might be head coach but also be DC, I thought my god we will be laughing stock having head coach being a coordinator also. But then was shown other examples, and yeah it worked and was a great call by Schmidt to do that. Our D was 180 change, Schmidt bet on himself coming back here and thank God he did. He seems to be the real deal. He is building it the right way. Hard to believe now that we considered anyone else. The burn it all down people are clueless.

The OC is coaching for his job on Saturday.

How many all conference players do you think the offense will have? you can only look good offensively if players win one on one battles.

Anyone notice when und has had a lead …how they never come close to using up the play clock.  Again ….its the offensive side.  Burn that clock!! Snapping a ball with let’s say 28 seconds left on the play clock when the game clock is running and if you’re up 21-7 ish in the 3rd doesn’t make any sense.  That has bugged me every game this year.  Isaac please fix this.

We have had flashbacks to Bubbaball this year in our 5 losses (think meltdowns)  - Winning programs figure out how to win - we have not - We are 0-5 on closely contested games.  Not saying Schmidt can't get us on track but so far we are not.  A very frustrating year - thank goodness we have been given new life.  The lack of changes in our play calling and offensive strategy is very concerning.

So play calling isn't on the OC?

Last time I checked, Jerry doesn't call his own plays.

So by your logic the OC has plays that work but he won’t call them in favor of plays that won’t?

Someone with a connection should remind Freuchte to watch UND's first 6 games and remember how he called them.

Opponents figured out to sell out on run and make QB beat you
