UND Football Fan Posted August 31 Posted August 31 Jerry should be in, I like athleticism at QB. My guess why Simon won out is he is better at the short passing game, and if that is the majority of our passing game. That’s what our coordinator will go with. Quote
SIOUXFAN97 Posted August 31 Posted August 31 Even the announcer loves or special teams.."ouch"... F'n kostitch wtf Quote

If our starting QB can't throw.....God help us that he beat out the other guys. Yeah I realize the QB has to do other things, but throwing is pretty damn important. We'll see how he looks next week at home against an FCS team. Doesn’t look like any of the QBs have a great arm. It is what it is. Need to recruit better. Romfo still won’t be able to throw no matter who the opponent is; difference could be that UND’s running game could be more effective at home versus Montana and receivers could be running open versus lesser DBs. But Montana is no slouch… they got talent, just not Iowa State level talent. Quote
gundy1124 Posted August 31 Posted August 31 Hopefully Seidl doesn't receive $100,000 offer after this season. His athleticism is pretty special. 2 Quote

F'n Hawks Posted August 31 Posted August 31 Wonder if Deng Deng would be worth using for Red Zone snaps at least? Quote
cowboys5xsbs Posted August 31 Posted August 31 I expected a far worse loss. Overall there were alot of positives. I am excited to see us against Montana next week. Go sioux. 2 Quote

This idea that Feeney and Kaminiski were going to be really good was pure speculation and hope; no substance to any of it. Conversely that doesn't say a lot about about the recruiting of those guys and developing them. Maybe the HS QBs that are coaches kids are higher floor lower ceiling than another kid with a similar talent level who is more raw but has a lot more room for growth. Quote

ChrisUND1 Posted August 31 Posted August 31 They had this game if QB play was Tommy equivalent. 3 Quote

Go sioux. There are definitely things to take from this game that can be learned from. I'm excited about the new OC, with time I think he can make some things happen. I don't know how we struggle so much with kickers when we play indoors and should be able to recruit better there. For years, that was a constant UND strength. Defense has to make some plays, and can't expect we will have lopsided TOP every game. 3 Quote
