Thought I would start this out for the new season. Hopefully we can make a good showing. We plan on going.

Should be a fun time. Does anyone have information about places to hang out and hotels within walking distance from the stadium?

When we went to the NDSU ISU game in 2014, I think we stayed in Des Moines and just drove up in the morning.

Need to check times of other games….a nice drive.

there are more law enforcement there than any other football game I have been to. Very safe community. Great stadium.

FOOD: absolutely Hickory Park hands down. BBQ and expanded menu plus it is an ice cream parlor too. All the ice cream on the placemats….

  • UND at ISU to Air on FS1, Two Road Contests Picked as MVFC Games of the Week

Story Links

GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The national television packages for the Big 12 Conference were announced Thursday, with the North Dakota at Iowa State game included in the announcement. The two teams will battle at 2:30 p.m. (CT) on Saturday, Aug. 31 and the game will air on Fox Sports 1.

Iowa State will be only the fifth team from the current Big 12 Conference to be featured on a North Dakota schedule. Most recently, the Fighting Hawks visited the Utes of Utah on Aug. 31, 2017, and fell 37-16. UND has also played Arizona State (1940), TCU (1933) and Texas Tech (2009), all of which are members of the Big 12 Conference in 2024.

The Aug. 31 game will be the 2024 season opener for both teams and the first-ever meeting between North Dakota and Iowa State.

UND will also be featured in a pair of road contests announced as MVFC "Game of the Week" selections on ESPN+, the conference announced on Thursday afternoon. North Dakota at Indiana State on Nov. 2 will be the first game that airs on ESPN+ as a Game of the Week for UND, before the Hawks will also be featured on Nov. 23 in the regular season finale at Illinois State. Kickoff times for both of UND's Games of the Week will be announced at a later date.

Sounds like ISU is stacked this year and are one of the conference favorites.

The first Big 12 preseason poll came out last week and Iowa St. was pegged for 6th.  Not sure if it was a coaches poll or a media poll.

asked a young defensive guy who will start in Ames......

no hesitation

"Jerry"

I doubt the defensive players will get a vote in this but I’m sure they have a gut feeling.

would be legitimate for bubba to ask defensive coaches which QB would you rather play against .

dont want to lose either Jerry or Feeney because of playing time.

Well the new OC should be pretty unbiased in his evaluation since he didn't recruit either of them. Trusting he will start the best option for the team and not play favorites. If Jerry is the starter and Trey doesn't really play this year, he'll surely be in the portal and wouldn't blame him.
