I don't see how this could be true Regarding Gronowski. Pretty sure he is all out of eligibility as he was same class as Schuster I believe.

Wow football has just gotten extra crazy now that everyone has NIL's going and stuff. SDSU coach leaves after two years, if he takes some of their best players....SDSU could be looking at a rebuilding year next year with a new coach.

Either way I'm glad Bubba stepped down and we've got Schmidt who has already proven to be better in the portal in a short period of time. Times have changes quickly in the past five years and I finally think we have the coach and the facilities to not be left in the dust amidst all of this change, but hopefully we can capitalize on it.

He was a true freshman during the spring 21 season, which basically doesn’t count toward eligibility. He redshirted in fall 21 while injured, then played 22,23,24. So yes, I think he has one more year if he wanted.

In that case I hope he goes somewhere and gets some money. Seems like a quality young man.

Well you can be successful like NDSU and SDSU,  lose your coaches every few years and have to rebuild, or, you be mediocre and have your coach hang around forever like Bubba.   The first is still preferable but still sucks.   It will be interesting to see how SDSU handles this.

Crazy to see after the loyalty Stig brought to the program....I'm guessing he thought it would be a long term transition.  2 years later, Rodgers cleans house of the program and the staff.  What will be interesting is how many players head west with him....including the backup QB, who was getting the keys handed to him.

Jacks fans are reacting like Bison fans did when Bohl left.  POd...confused...No we are used to it.  With winning comes the bag, and the bag trumps all in life.

Ooof. SDSU could be in a bad spot depending on who on staff and the roster goes with Rogers. Having Washington State recruit the MVFC footprint won't help things either.

Does Stig come back for a year to try to salvage what he built and Rogers guts in two short years?

While it is obviously real nice while it lasts, things can be undone in a real hurry in the current environment. Things can change fast (in a good or bad way).

Timing is everything. My first thought was maybe they will bring Jackson Eck back and then remembered he just left Idaho for New Mexico.

This is what I hate about the FCS football life.  And now with the portal and NIL, it's essentially the factory for guys to use and abuse before going where the green is.

(Note.  I'm not stupid, of course I'd take the money just like the rest of em.)

We’ll find out in the next 48 hours how bad it’ll be. With NDSU & SDSU I’ll always be in I’ll believe it when I see it mode. If entire staff leaves, this would be different than the NDSU situations. Poking around, I did find it interesting that their collective never got off the ground and is being revamped starting next week. Too little too late? Logic says this would be. Deck is stacked against them, but if there’s any program that could come out ok, it’s SDSU.

Do we know how UND's collective stacks up against other schools'?  Is there a way to know?
