@hockeytherapy13 simply pointed out that the NCHC has one true bottom feeder program (Miami). The WCHA had several of them most years.

You’re correct, I took my cheater glasses off for a second there and though the post said there were no bottom feeders in the NCHC.  My bad.

Didn't hurt having the DOT line either that season.

Maybe we need Sasha-Omac-Strinden....   the SOS line....  or use Ben and they be the SOBs.

Isn’t Wisconsin struggling this year?  How did #1 Michigan State do against them last night?
I haven’t read anything from fans that the coaching staff hasn’t noticed, been discussing with team captains, and trying to solve. At some point in time, changes are made cuz nothing is working. We aren’t there yet.

For those “in the know”, how did we lose the Slukynsky brothers to Western Michigan?  Losing guys like that is a bigger red flag in my mind than struggling against Miami, Bemidji, Bob Morris before Christmas. Did we recruit them? Did we offer them. I’m no expert but they were 2 of the best HS prospects I have seen in a long time.
I know we will lose guys to Duluth cuz of location and they have been good, and to Denver, and the other perennial powers.  Does anyone know the story on these guys?

Due to when they decommitted from NMU, Western Michigan was the only school willing to lose a goalie late to the portal. They should have been trying to flip Hampton when he was at Fargo.

This team has surely disappointed, but if they can win (at least two of) their next three and get Berg and Zmolek back on the ice after the break, some good things are still possible.   Not having those two does not excuse the way they've played, but they are important to this team.

Why not?

What's next, another tournament for those that don't make the NIT either?  One champion, pure and simple, no consolation prizes.

How many NCAA BB teams, compared to the number of Hockey teams?   Nobody watches the NIT except fans of the teams who couldn't make the NCAA.

I'm not interested in UND Playing for 17th place.  If UND's not making the NCAA tournament the season is a failure.  No Interest in continuing the failed season.

Nice!

There was talk of this happening or the idea of it happening in the future last year. I'm not against it happening, could bring in more revenue for some teams that don't make the NCAAs often.
