Jocie following the CEO of the green and gold collective is disheartening.

Jocie's family is pretty close, she either lands back at UND or somewhere within 77 miles of here

Agreed. I think the key here is that at NDSU, she's probably going to have to share minutes with Marisa Frost, whom they chose to recruit instead of Jocie in high school. At UND, it will be all the minutes she could ever want.

Optics will be bad for both Schiller and UND will be bad if she leaves for NDSU. She and her family will be looked differently on especially if she goes to Fargo after playing here for year. This has not been case where she get to play or prove herself but just opposite played huge minutes proved herself and  coach is now changed. I can’t believe the money is that much bigger and I have to believe it would come from Grand Forks as well. I don’t know why Jory would want to stir the pot in this way because this will have ramifications on his team as welll with their young star guard and some of their top recruit players of playing time. It might look good from Fargo faithful but it may have more legs than anyone expects for all the parties. I think if this happens there will be a lot of regrets by all the parties involved and if she wants to move on I would make it clean break where she can just work on achieving her goals and come back home without any of this drama.

NDSU didn’t recruit her in the first place, did they?

They never offered. Marisa Frost (another class of 2024 PG) committed to NDSU way back in August of 2022. UND offered Jocie in November of 2022, and she committed quickly thereafter.

Funny that UND was able to at least win one game at the Summit League Championship this year (aka South Dakota State Invitational).

If she goes to NDSU now the result is the Grand Forks sports community who had loved her once will have quite a different opinion of her now. They will be cheering against her rather than for her now. That is the consequences whether it is good or not. Hope she looks at the big picture and the cost of doing that. The new coach might just really get  it going here.

So maybe it’s past time to do a general self reflection as fans. We have a window of opportunity to make a positive difference in this program. UND has responded with a coaching change.  Fans need to contact the NIL collective and contribute. Fans need to help create an atmosphere that our players want to be part of. If we don’t wish to do our share to turn things around, them maybe we shouldn’t complain.
There is no excuse to lose key players to other Summit league schools

Unless she is getting life changing money (which I can't believe is even possible) or NDSU has a major she wants to pursue that UND doesn't have this is a big mistake on her part.

She had the chance to be a UND/GF Legend.
