Now UND is not Clemson by any stretch of the imagination, but his basic point is that some people are able to balance both having expectations while still having appreciation for successes when they do happen (obviously there are multiple levels of those successes). Others are so focused on their own internal expectations (over something they have no control over) that they don't bother to have appreciation for any sort of success or minimize it because it "isn't enough". It wasn't a deflection either, as Dabo also took full responsibility for Clemson having a down year, at a place that has basically unlimited resources. And UNI was down 17-14 to ISU in the 3rd quarter before winning 27-20. We'll see what happens when Illinois St plays Murray next weekend to complete the other half of the equation you skipped over.
