I was told recently that Persson is likely to sign a pro deal. Hobie would get a shot at the No. 1 spot, but we'd likely hit the portal for competition as Heil isn't ready yet

Let’s hope Persson’s stock is as high as it can be by winning a National championship and being a major factor.  I can deal with people leaving when they take home the ultimate team prize.

Holy region of death in South Dakota.  Any of those four teams could advance.
Hoping that the final brackets don't look like this for UND.

Providence, R.I.
1. Boston College
8. Minnesota
9. Maine
16. Bemidji State

Maryland Heights, Mo.
2. Boston University
6. Denver
10. Providence
15. RIT

Sioux Falls, S.D.
3. North Dakota
7. Quinnipiac
11. St. Cloud State
14. Michigan

Springfield, Mass.
4. Wisconsin
5. Michigan State
12. Western Michigan
13. Massachusetts

Not afraid of any of those teams. With that said, I'm guessing No. 14 will be an autobid.

Maybe it is time a North Dakota team should not have to have another NCHA team in their bracket.  If four teams are in a league affiliation they should be separated.

I think we've beat Michigan and Quinnipiac in the NCAAs in the same year... just struggling to remember which year

Fixed your post.

+

That likely will never happen - at least one regional tournament will likely NOT have a NCHC rep, so as to prevent what happened in 2005 (all WCHA teams in Frozen Four)

Although, at some point IF the NCHC has a down year, only two teams qualify
