We had no chance of winning this game.  I was hoping to keep it within 7 points.  We have a long way to go to even have a chance against these guys.

Simply put, UND does not have a DLine that can consistently stop the run or put pressure on the QB.

The End

This is a consistent theme with Bubba

We played awful today. probably in the 10th percentile for worst possible outcomes. I’m so sick of watching bubbas teams lay absolute eggs in big games. Today was embarrassing. This staff hasn’t managed the roster at all. Our defensive cupboard is pretty bare too. Our best LB group through bubbas tenure were all Mussman guys, let that sink in.

I will agree Bison have more speed.

You are not wrong for once. Not a good game for 24 this week, but hey he is coming back for another year!

If he does indeed come back it should only be as an OLB.

We stopped them last year with a 3-4, scheme isn’t necessarily the issue. We are just way too small for what we need to be successful with this scheme.

We are too small to run a 3-4, 4-3, any defense. ……

I’ve been saying this for a while, he is an OLB. He can’t cover or tackle well in space.

The only reason he’s still at safety is because we have literally zero safeties. It’s brutal. He’s been a liability in coverage his entire career but he’s starting because we are just that bad at that position.

You guys are still getting in the playoffs.

Yeah because the other bubble teams blew it. We are not going far in the playoffs with defensive play like this.

A healthy Fort would have helped but it was fairly obvious the secondary, especially at safety, was going to be a question mark going into the season and the coaching staff did nothing to help it. Have never been impressed with KK and Coley, and Buckner is a lot slower than I thought he would be considering the hype.

I’m not convinced Fort has it either.

But he was good and had potential and I can see the coaches feeling good about him coming back

I don't know where to even start any more.  Coaches?  Recruiting?  Administration?  Too much inbreeding?

All of those - and our AD thinks this is grounds to extend.  That's the big problem.

Maybe we need to think outside the box, get some those guys to run track to get them faster. Some of the FBS teams have athletes that do both.

The FAR greater priority is to have DL at 300 pounds and guys who can get to the QB.
