That's what you took from that? C'mon, man.

I am referring to the notion some people have that you can have great students or great athletes, but not both. And some of those same people think as long as the players do well in the classroom, it doesn't matter how many they win or lose. I have always felt that is a false choice.

Who are these people?  I've never once seen or heard a person say anything close to that.

You were responding directly to a post about a tweet. Wouldn't a really great GPA normally be something to celebrate or is that only when we're having a great season?

You are right, it is something to celebrate. I am just a little ornery about the state of our programs right now.

Which players earned a 4.0 in Gender Studies?

Pretty sure some of the hockey guys that lived in Walsh back in the day got four "gender studies" in a weekend.

What's that?
Oh, so you're saying it means something different today.
Oops. My bad.  ;)

IN A WEEKEND?  I think that would define my four year career in Grand Forks.

Saturday nights after UND hockey games when I was in college meant getting out to the Antique quickly after the game to get some "time" in before Hrkac and the boys showed up.....unless we happened to be throwing an All Campus party that evening.
