Usually when an FCS team plays a FBS team they pull out all the stops because they have nothing to lose. USU has gone for it at least 5 times on 4th down. Almost as if they are the FCS team and we are the FBS team.

1-5 means nothing, this Utah State could have a good year, their defense has finally figured out how to stop us. They beat a P5 team so you have to respect that.

Utah State is a very good team.  I’m not disappointed that we are losing to a good FBS team.  I am more than a little nervous that every MVFC team is going to look at film and put 10 guys in the box, daring us to throw longer than 5 yards - which we haven’t shown we can or are even willing to do, other than in desperation situations.

I watched when we were at midfield and punted.  Utah State turned and covered without even looking fake.  I think at that point you try something to turn momentum.  Bubba doesn’t get that.  He thinks we are in Division 2 and can rely on our defense.

It reminds me of the playoff game a few years ago. Build a lead then play conservative until it's to late.

Can’t expect to score on every drive. I could see them wearing our D down even in the first half. We can’t win in a big sky shootout. Their defense adjusted and finally figured out how to shut us down
