Under the best of circumstances it is tough to get a nominee confirmed in the time left before the election. Much less with a little over 40 days left Nothing in the constitution about the size of the Supreme Court. FDR got rebuked by his own party who had a super majority. Pretty fun legislation to read about, his own people were rather blunt about how they felt about it.

Then the next time the GOP has the Senate and Presidency they will just go ahead and expand the number again. So there!

They will be a push to do that regardless of filling the now open seat. That is why the talk of waiting now is BS and why you can’t trust the other party in today’s politics. Do you take this opportunity if presented?

Well, Democrats wanting to pack the Supreme Court Isn’t without precedence, is it? FDR is smiling in his grave.

UNDBIZ Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 Likely looking at a lame duck session confirmation.

Since Arizona’s senate race is a special election, they can seat their senator by Nov 30th. If McSally loses (which right now is likely to happen), it would give the Rs less margin of error. So I would expect an attempt made between Nov 4th and nov 29th. 1
