SiouxBoys Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 Well this'll give Cam another weekend of Goaltender of the Week. But how can he top this in the future to get the award again? Maybe he'll just have to not allow a goal for the rest of the season. He'll have to score a goal himself as well 1 Quote
Beavers Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 Thanks Duluth announcer for the Congrats to the Sioux!!! Sioux FOREVER!!! 1 Quote
burd Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 He'll have to score a goal himself as wellYeah, I was wondering why Berry isn't working him into the offence a little more. Quote

Godsmack Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 I'd be shocked and disappointed if Johnson doesn't get goalie of the week again....how could you not give him the award?!?! Quote
burd Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 Man, who would have thought they'd go up to Duluth and get two shutouts. Quote
best0186 Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 This is something else....not sure I've ever seen three shutouts in a row! Not saying it hasn't ever happened. Special team for sure. Quote
UNDPUCKS Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 I was going to say we were lucky nobody got hurt because the skunkshirts let Dogs run us all over the ice, but Janatuinen counts as getting hurt. Hope he is good to go. Nice first half boys. Forget about and enjoy the time off. 1 Quote
Godsmack Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 And his three shutouts didn't exactly come against cupcakes either. 3 Quote
808287 Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 Sandelin must be fine with putting a dirty team on the ice. I really started noticing that last year. There's at least a half dozen players there that must practice their "cross-checks to the back after the whistle". They're fairly proficient at it.Sandelin wants to win, whatever it takes. His teams won't spear, but there's not much else that's off the menu. Quote
SiouxFanatic Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 I hope Janatuinen is alright. Talk about an amazing first half of the season. Sweeping the Bulldogs in Duluth? Wow!Let's keep the train rolling through the second half! Quote
burd Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 And his three shutouts didn't exactly come against cupcakes either.Duluth can fly. Has to be a very frustrating result for them to have actually played very well both nights and not even get a goal, much less a win. Quote
808287 Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 Man, who would have thought they'd go up to Duluth and get two shutouts.Did NOT AT ALL expect that. Cam is playing solid right now...that puck looks like a beach ball and the net is the size of a minnow scoop. I'm just enjoying it while it's here. The first half of this season has been absolutely FUN to watch. Let's welcome Alabama Huntsville to town with another pair of goose eggs. :-)Way to go SIOUX!!! Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 Great way to finish off the first half. No hockey again until the New Year. Quote
BigGreyAnt41 Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 Now looking ahead to the UAH games, I just hope the players don't have a let down or holiday hangover. After playing DU followed by UMD, they better make sure they get up for these UAH games and don't have a repeat of the exhibition games in western Canada from a couple years ago. 2 Quote

One 3-0 shutout. What a weekend for UND goaltending! 4 Quote
808287 Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 (edited) Cam has the longest scoreless streak at UND in 62 years. Second longest all time. :-)So...that makes this the best goaltending most of us have ever seen in a UND sweater. Just sayin'. Edited December 13, 2015 by 808287 1 Quote
geaux_sioux Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 Not only has Cam been unreal but our team d has been great. He has been able to see just about every shot that comes his way. There have also been a ton of blocked shots. This is a team achievement more so than just a Cam achievement. 4 Quote
Cratter Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 The lack of equal strength scoring during the game is a little concerning. Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 The lack of equal strength scoring during the game is a little concerning. I think that was a result of playing an equally talented team on the road. Nothing came easy this weekend. 2 Quote
