siouxkid12 Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 Pp lammy is going to be the assistant Big mistake but bubs wants him that seems like a huge stretch on berry but its his ship..... 1
shep Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 The diff between hockey and football is vast. The hockey program is one of the best in the country and I get why you'd want a seamless transition from assistant to head coach. No diff than what SU did with football.
jdub27 Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 Pp lammy is going to be the assistant Big mistake but bubs wants him So you are saying it is already a done deal?
Popular Post stoneySIOUX Posted May 18, 2015 Popular Post Posted May 18, 2015 Two things that stuck out to me: Berry said all the recruits have already been called and said 100% are still all in…. whew. Berry said Hak turned down the job twice. Dude didn’t want to leave. God da*n it I wanted that guy to win one. 5
SiouxBoys Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 Bring in Nick Fuher as an assistant. Have an inside track on Jost and Fabbro
cberkas Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 Bring in Nick Fuher as an assistant. Have an inside track on Jost and Fabbro Or bring in Fred Harbinson.
SiouxBoys Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 Or bring in Fred Harbinson. And let Nick take over Penticton. I like that
cberkas Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 And let Nick take over Penticton. I like that I've heard Wisconsin might be after Harbinson.
SJHovey Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 Agree 100%. "We gotta keep the recruits" should NOT have been the primary reason to make a knee-jerk panic hire. Brad Berry may very well have been the best candidate for the job, but an interview/selection process would have shown that. Going through the interview process would only be appropriate if you're not comfortable hiring Berry. Why open it up, only to come back to Berry? To see if someone "better" comes along?

To see if someone "better" comes along? Well, let's imagine for a second, David Quinn comes out tomorrow and says that he wishes he could have applied as he would have brought a pipeline of Boston boys and east coast talent to Grand Forks. Do you think it might have been worth at least listening to his plan for success at North Dakota before handing the job to Berry? I think it would be. 1

brianvf Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 I'm the largest silent investor of the group. I technically own about 82% of the GOBC, but I don't like getting into the numbers too much. 1

MafiaMan Posted May 19, 2015 Posted May 19, 2015 NO Great point, Fetch. We don't want Chris Kreider-Johnny Gaudreau-Jack Eichel like talent at UND anyways.
