Godsmack Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 I've seen good crowds of BC fans at Magness (granted, DU is a stronger club than CC) so I was hoping perhaps some Eagles fans might want to make the trek out to the Springs. I found an Eagles forum but you gotta pay $8.99 per month to join. No way. Good point though about Craig's List, I'll try that. Quote

southpaw Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 Media day is underway at the Target Center today. Should be some exciting feature videos from the conference this year. I'm really looking forward to whatever great products they produce. Always been at the forefront of social media of all of the hockey conferences. There's already this video featuring a couple refs from the league: http://www.nchc.tv/nchc/video/nchc-2015-nchc-referee-camp-recapTimmy Walsh is a pretty great guy and if you have a chance to listen/watch the ref GoPro helmets produced by the conference at the Frozen Faceoffs the last two years, he has some great lines in there./shameless plug Quote
siouxfan512 Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 Just saw this tweet and though, "4 straight, that's kind of cute". Condescending jokes aside, St. Cloud will likely be a good competitive team, they always seem to be tough even in years where they are dominant in the standings. Joey Benik leads @SCSUHUSKIES_MH in its quest for a 4th straight NCAA tournament appearance. #Frozen4cast Quote
siouxczech29 Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 My guess is that SCSU will not be able to compete financially with the cost of attendance deal. They have definitely not finished all of the promised renovations & upgrades to the national bomb shelter Quote
farce poobah Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 So Arizona State enters D-1 hockey tonight. First game is against club team and bitter rival (and perhaps the next entrant into D-1 hockey?) University of Arizona.Link to webcast:http://pac-12.com/live/arizona-state-university Quote
SiouxFanatic Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Who the heck did BC lose to tonight?I saw that score as well and then saw that Demko only played the 1st period. Backup BC goalie let in all 5 goals. Quote
scpa0305 Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 I saw that score as well and then saw that Demko only played the 1st period. Backup BC goalie let in all 5 goals.....still. They're the #1 team in the nation. Quote
cberkas Posted October 4, 2015 Author Posted October 4, 2015 Could Arizona State out draw the Coyotes . Quote
cberkas Posted October 4, 2015 Author Posted October 4, 2015 Former UND recruit Jack Rowe with a goal for Arizona State, to make it 3-1. Quote

cberkas Posted October 4, 2015 Author Posted October 4, 2015 Great question. For games against U of Arizona, yup. Not a bad crowd for the Arizona State - Arizona game. Arizona should think about making a move to NCAA D1. This could be a very good rivalry if Arizona was getting the players Arizona State has. Quote
farce poobah Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Arizona is definitely getting encouragement from Arizona State's Athletic Director ... Quote
cberkas Posted October 4, 2015 Author Posted October 4, 2015 About 6400 fans showed up for the Arizona State - Arizona game.I like the Arizona State jerseys, I heard someone talking about Arizona State will have two more jerseys later in the year.http://www.azcentral.com/story/sports/heat-index/2015/10/02/asu-hockey-unveils-uniforms-inaugural-ncaa-season/73161974/ 1 Quote

They beat Portland of the AHL in another exhibition. The Portland team included Corban Knight, and had Sam Brittain in goal. http://portlandpirates.com/pirates-fall-unb-preseason-scrimmage/ Quote

That AHL team was probably missing a ton of players that were in the NHL training camp. But still interesting. Quote
tnt Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 After watching the 3 on 3 overtime versus Manitoba and some of the NHL games, I would bet that the Big Ten will need to follow the NCHC in adopting that format. The advantage of adapting to all the space and defending issues along with the difficulty of line changes sure would be a minor advantage for a league looking to prepare players for the next level, especially high end talent that may encounter 3 on 3 at both levels. Carl Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 Miami getting absolutely embarrassed at home right now.Just like the first round of last year's ncaa tourney. They have the PP now so maybe they will pull a revenge comeback like they almost were able to last year. Quote
brianvf Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 WMU beats Ferris. Good for NCHC.Providence crushing Miami. Not good for NCHC.Can't wait to see how ASU does against UAA tonight. UAA is certainly no powerhouse, but usually plays strong at home. Quote
Carl Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 (edited) Damn, CC just cannot put together a quality webcast. No sound and blurry, grainy, wide-shots with random close-ups...can the NCHC just pay for CC to get their broadcasting act together?Edit: They have sound now. Edited October 10, 2015 by Carl Quote
