To Gordy, the General, OD, Mattson, Mac, Parksy, Panz, thanks for laying it all out and giving us 4 great years. I feel bad for the players and the coaches. No one wanted to win more than them. Absolutely hilarious to hear some "fans" on this board bitch and moan how tough it is on them after a game like this. We get to watch one of the best programs in the country compete on a top level year after year after year. Seriously, bitching about players, calling on Hak to get fired, saying the game is over long before it is. Some of the posts are truly idiotic. Can't wait until next season. That's not my expertise, that's what a consultant search firm is for, and who said they have to be available? College basketball and football hire coaches away like it's going out of style. Players change every year but what is the common demoninator, hmmmmm They even changed one coach same results. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Time to try something or somebody different. Yeah, but if the same coach can get a team prepared to get to the frozen four multiple times with a different makeup of players from year to year every year under his tenure you have to appreciate that kind of consistency. Seriously hak haters, send in your applications to UND for the next head coaching job, I am sure you will have better luck/more success than Hak and can land the title in a year or two no problem. Look at Mankato, they got a new head coach a two years ago and ended up being the #1 overall seed this year and laid a big egg against the #16 team. We have the puck sitting their right in front of the net and can't quite get our stick on it. We also don't seem to have any luck with officiating. Our goaltender had a bad night. If it is not one thing it is another. In spite of everything there is one thing I hate about hockey. Why can't officials call the game fairly all the way to the end of the game. The fact that Patton got a penalty on that play is an absolute joke and the official that called it should be suspended. The replay showed that he had clear vision on the whole play. In spite of everything else that call alone probably resulted in the game not being tied. College hockey should be embarrassed for not cleaning up stuff that happens with officiating at the end of games. It really is very sad.
