NORTH DAKOTA @ Western Michigan

I see us going into their barn and coming away with 6 points. Our D-men are playing great and will continue with Stetcher leading the way. Not sure if Cagguila will be playing after hearing he was walking around with crutches, but I feel a lot of goals will be scored this weekend. Would like to see Poolman get back on the board. Gaarder is definitely in need to a goal as well.

Sounds like everyone practiced yesterday so I would anticipate at least 1-2 Cagguila highlight reel goals this weekend.  ;)

That's right, I did read that somewhere above. Let's hope so! On Saturday night I mentioned to my gf how Cagguila's fancy goal scoring has been absent...bout a minute later I got put in my place with that goal from his back side. Maybe I need to keep making these comments and more goals/play making will follow! :D

Good lord that South Bend regional gonna have 15 people there. I know it's been said on here before, but if Michigan makes the tourney, they HAVE to be going to South Bend, don't they? That regional is gonna be so bare.

I agree but right now Mich is a buble team, and for some reason they think Bowling Green will produce a decent fan base

Did you forget about his absolute snipe the night before? I'd say that was fancy lol :D

Going to the Saturday night game... looking forward to seeing the Sioux play live since it's been awhile for me (last time when the Sioux went to the GLI...) and first time going to Lawson.

Two minor questions for anyone in the know...  Does anyone know which net/end of the ice the Sioux defend twice (I'm in Section 1 directly behind the net) and probably more importantly, is there a recommended bar or pub to imbibe in a few drinks before and after the game near the arena?  Thanks!

Sioux sweep but I'm not expecting a cakewalk by any means...  Go Fighting Sioux!

We appear to be in a small group on this one, and I hope we're wrong.

I don't think anyone is heartily arguing that Western isn't a good team. My belief, as I think most think, is that we are better. Regardless of what any of us think, the boys will take them very seriously.

Agree with all that.  But with the level of parity in college hockey these days, a couple of pipes or deflections can be the difference in just about any game.

Section 1 should be the net that UND attacks in the 1st and 3rd periods.

As far as bars here's a pretty decent list

There aren't really any bars within walking distance of Lawson, but you shouldn't have a problem finding a place to drown your sorrows after a WMU sweep this weekend.  Bells is a must if you like good beer and I've heard good things about the beer exchange but haven't made it out there yet.
