fsioux
The benching cries that LJ got this year were due to taking stupid penalties, not from shooting the puck. I would put ODonnell into that same category of not being afraid to shoot.
SiouxTupa
The benching cries that LJ got this year were due to taking stupid penalties, not from shooting the puck. It was kind of a tongue in cheek comparison, but he did take a lot of penalties for not moving his feet. His compete level has increased a lot over the last couple months, which is exciting. burd
I was just going to suggest that Luke Johnson is a shoot first kind of guy. Even if that shot is at the goal line, he's taking it. Hopefully those three recruits have the speed and hustle to avoid the same benching cries that LJ got this year. Bucks. Shoot from anywhere, anytime, anyhow. AZSIOUX
@SchlossmanGF: Brock Boeser has a hat trick for Waterloo to pull into a tie with Chris Wilkie for the lead in USHL goals (34). Both will be at UND in fall.
Goon
Also, when Matthews is added to the fall roster, it will make it even better. Caggiula–Johnson–Gersich Wilkie–NSchmaltz–Boeser Chyzyk–St. Clair–Murphy Olson–Simonson–Poganski I would be surprised if Poganski was on the fourth line next season. NewUNDAlum
I agree. I'm a big fan of Poganski. Think he is gonna be a hell of a player.
Sodbuster
Rhett Gardner could be a second line player. Gardner has been kind of the forgotten man in these discussions.

I'm also wondering if Murph could take a step forward and play a top 6 role next year.

scpa0305
Boeser videohttps://t.co/ZF23cYt7kD I like it. I really like our incoming class next year. I also read Button had him at #8 in his rankings. If that plays out (which it obviously won't) would that be the second highest UND draft pick, behind Toews?

burd
Jason Herter was drafted #8 overall in the 1989 draft. Best slapper I've seen by a Sioux. Hard to compare the velocity of modern shots against the old woodies, though.

scpa0305
H. Shaw leading the USHL playoffs in total points so far...from the point. 6 pts in 3 games. I could be wrong but I think he had the highest pts per game average for dmen in the league as well.
