Slow your roll Billy Boy, SD lost to Drake last year who we pumped 55-7.  I don't get excited for games like this although the playoff committee doesn't know jack squat about strength of teams and a W is a W.

I like the Idaho games though, Luke Schleusner OC.

I like the NDSU game being the last game of the season in 2026.  I hope that becomes the new normal both in Grand Forks and in Fargo.

Not really disagreeing with you but it could be worse and playing Northern State or Augie like the SD schools this year.

Between game day in fargo and the recent espn visit and whatnot it's like UND football doesn't even exist...plus now ndac, sdac, montana, and msu get games in vegas...

but when media calls into UND athletics they do answer the phone ..."hello you've reached the home of North Dakota Hockey"...

UND plays SDSU, NDSU and Montana this year.  They already have the opportunity to make people notice this year.  Win all three games and you have changed the narrative.  The question is .. when are they going to take advantage of the opportunity.

yes but it looks bad that they chose sdac for the second game...ndac v msu and the flagships 2 years later  und v montana?  nope skip over und and go to sdac...stupid and weird but expected i guess

I get being frustrated but in what world would it make sense for it to be UND? We haven’t done anything in the D1 Era and I don’t know if we really have the fan base to travel for that in football right now.

Well, for starters, their football fan base travels as well as UND’s hockey. And to be blunt, like NDSU’s football fans. That sells tickets.

Montana at least got to the championship game two years ago even if they did lose to SDSU.   We have exactly one playoff win against Missery State.   Respect is earned, but hopefully things turn around this year.    We have to win 8 games and a couple playoff games this year, then people will look at us differently.

They've had the highest or second highest attendance in FCS for at least the last 15 years, probably longer. Flat out, they sell tickets and that's what the criteria is for something like this.

They must travel well and wildly.  I tried to get a tailgating spot at Northern Arizona 8-10 years ago.  Their ticket/game parking office told me they didn't allow tailgating by visiting teams.  Said - you can thank the Montana fans for that.  They apparently raised a lot of hell and left a big mess behind.

ndsu only got 22k fans at us bank and that was 4 hours down the road....the butler game at target wasn't too much better
