Looking closer at the Powerpoint plans, you can see soccer lines on the outdoor turf.  the plan was to replace the track and the turf there.  Might as well put soccer lines on there and make it a multi use facility.

Now that you mention it, yes, that's what those are.

The soccer field was just redone a couple of years ago, I think it's a decent playing surface.

Yes maybe 3 or 4 years ago they played at EGF turf while their field was being leveled and reseeded.

Won't fit in the space.
There's not the extra 100 feet down the lines; things like buildings (MVII) and streets are there.

Let’s form a committee to make it fit

Get Denks, or whoever owns that farmstead and land south of the Alerus, to finally see and build a baseball stadium there and bring back baseball!!

I believe the city owns all the land around that farmstead now (and maybe the farmstead itself, too).  Danks had the land a bit farther south, but I think he passed, so I'm not sure who currently owns it.

Skyrange.
Hypersonic missiles.
Makes you wonder if having General Armacost (USAF, Ret) at the helm of UND didn't aid the Senators and UND and Grand Forks.

And the "National Security Corridor" update to Harrington Hall makes way more sense now.

Look at the front and back of the latest UND Engineering magazine.

Based on the back cover and recognizable landmarks, that's the Hyslop site with a new College of Engineering and Mines and STEM building.

Quick question, so what has already been approved and what still needs approval/funding?

State approved $82 million for upgrading the science and engineering buildings (basically whatever UND chooses) and has indicated they'll approve around $80 million in 2025 for a new STEM building, assuming the economy doesn't tank.  For both those numbers, 70% is state funds and 30% local.
