This whole Merrimack was a hot team is garbage, they were the 8th place team in HE. They need to figure this thing out in the next 45 hours. It was early in the year, but Merrimack beat Quinnipiac 4-1. Maybe they are better than you think? 3 Quote

Another missed NCAA tournament…fire the coach after a several years-long downward spiral…locker room chaos…players leaving in droves… Fast-forward one season: Penrose Cup winners…NCAA tournament lock…28 wins with hopefully more to come…first NCAA tournament win in recent memory… AND YET YOU’RE COMPLAINING? 3 16 Quote
Blackheart Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Nice to put another win in the NCAA’s column. Sioux looked a little rusty at times but they got the W and will get a good test against the Q on Saturday. Love to see the boys in Vegas baby! 2 Quote
nodakvindy Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Got the win and hopefully shook off the rust. Keeper stepped up big time. Expect a solid performance Saturday night. 1 Quote
TwamleyShuffle Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Checked a box today. Let’s do it again on Saturday! Also, they are giving away free student tickets for the game on Saturday. Hopefully this helps make it a tough environment for the Bobcats and the QU coach starts to grow in favor on on campus regionals 2 Quote
Oldguy Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Having endured the East Coast bias BS for two plus periods tonight, it was pretty sweet to hear them stopping the Merrimack love-fest and eat it at the end of the game. 1 Quote
rochsioux Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Nice to finally win an NC$$ tourney game, been way, way, way too long for our program. Having said that, we didn’t play very well overall. If we want to continue winning we need to play a better. Fortunately, Merrimack didn’t have anyone that could shoot the puck or this game could have turned out differently. It seemed obvious that the ice was crap yet we still overpassed the puck instead of shooting and crashing the net. Hopefully we shook off the rust and the ice will be better on Saturday. Hats off to Spoons for playing well, would be great if he could string three more together. 2 Quote

Borek was pissed that Providence didn’t hold their plane for his team. He was asking Jax if he had any spare frequent flyer miles. 2 Quote

Popular Post Wilbur Posted 2 hours ago Popular Post Posted 2 hours ago Thoughts -We didn't cope well to the ice surface at all. Tons of terrible bounces, and you can't play overly cute when thats a factor. -I thought we didn't show any rust, and really had a good first ten minutes of the game. I thought it was more of us on the gas pedal than them not skating. Goal early always helps. -I'd say we passed up shooting the puck easily 10-15 times. Our pp overpassed a ton. -Coaches limited #18's minutes quite a bit late in the game. Fighting it a bit the past few games. He's so much better when he keeps it simple. -Our goalie played better than their goalie did. Really locked in performance for him. -Regardless of what their 8th place finish says, that team was playing their best hockey of the year and won 4 backs against the wall games in a row to make the NCAA's. They probably deserved a better fate then they got tonight. An ugly win beats any loss. Especially in the NCAA tournament. 1 7 Quote
