I'm a Jerry fan but he was absolutely atrocious the last 4 weeks.

Open competition in the spring.  Wide open.

Qb sucks, only 1 good wr, small rbs. You can see why the staff is being super aggressive at certain spots recruiting JUCO guys. I’m really curious to see how they handle qb going forward. I don’t think it’s realistic for Jerry to totally rebuild his terrible mechanics in the offseason. Hopefully someone that can throw with some semblance of consistency will rise to the top.

We need to learn that mentality of how to WiN a game.  Always close but never quite there.  Great improvement this year but now it’s time to take the win….  Still not there.

Sports psychologist probably the critical hire. And Im not convinced we have solved the QB situation. Hopefully we can take the next step soon.

Here’s something, if your offense doesn’t produce and your defense figured it out at halftime, don’t turn the ball over a couple times and make the defenses job more difficult.

This team got worse or exposed as season went on?

Well, the play calling of 7 tries at the goal line during NDSU suggests that the team got worse or more basic for some reason. Then today when you have the ability to just chew up clock we instead kept making dumb decisions at play calling again.

Need a former QB on staff. No touch on throws. Pretty sure Jerry’s completion percentage is at or below romfos from last year.

Biggest difference is Jerry had big throws for TD.

Not sure what the answer is.  This team was so close but lacked killer instinct and went 0-5 in close games against good opponents. The O was very inconsistent the second half of season. Not a fan of the OC’s interactions with players, namely the QB, and the overall body language.  See him running mouth sideways at players in what looks like a blaming way.  Remember, he is a D2 coordinator from Winona.  He talks about playing experiences at Big Ten level and his cup of coffee with Vikings.  That’s irrelevant.  Not sure if he is the answer, moving forward.

Another year shot down the drain trouble with sophomore quarterback to much pressure coming down the stretch . We haven’t made big play to win a ball game against a good football team. No matter what anybody wants to say we have enough talent to win football games but something is just missing here in this program to find ways to win big football games. This year offense wasn’t able to control games and last year it was the defense.  Finally I think it comes down to we are just not deep enough as team I hope Schmidt can improve upon that in next couple of years but we will see how that develops in coming year may not be able retain him on how defense has improved in one year.
