Good win. Even though we didn’t do anything with them the gophers got hosed with those penalties. Anyone know why jax gave Simpson the power play? To my recollection it was only bad when we had no talent in the janatuinen ford type years

They had some good looks. Wasn’t great, but we have a lot of freshmen on the pp. it will get better.

Agreed.  It wasn't horrible.  Ice looked a bit iffy with all the bouncy pucks and whiffs.

Rickwood quietly leads the team in points right now.  Just an excellent overall portal grab.

The ice was soft. I could see it from my tv screen, haha. I agree, Rickwood plays like a pro. Plays with poise.

I think this was the first time I noticed Alex calls goals for both teams very unbiased, can't say that about other pxp guys.

Alex always pretty boisterous when opponent scores.  Personally I'd like a little retraint on those goals.  :)

He always makes every goal sound like a Stanley Cup game 7 OT winner even if a team is up by 5 goals.

Knew the refs wanted to be apart of this game the second they (didnt) dropped the puck.

I get that they want to stop slashing on the hands, but I didn’t think any of those calls limited the offensive player.  Relatively speaking this was a pretty clean game and maybe there should have been 3-4 calls.

Really enjoy being on the other side of the officials when it comes to Minnesota.  How many years did we watch UND spend twice the amount of time killing penalties on Friday and Saturday nights at Mariucci and were told "well by the letter of the law they are penalties..."

As I watch their fans storm the field after they beat the 25th ranked team in the country in football.

Are you serious? They stormed TCF? Penn State might get Rhule at a discount.

Back to hockey.

Rickwood does all the little things right.

Lol Bob. Swanson will take the free goal.

It looked like Swanson felt bad about not getting it to James for the open net hat trick.  Not sure if he didn’t see him originally, or if he thought the Minnesota defense would block it.  Don’t feel bad about putting the final stake in a victory!

Glad they got to watch the L 😂

The football fans probably went home thinking their hockey team won 2-0.  Opponent goals aren't shown on Twin Cities broadcasts.

For the guys trying to make team USA got one more game to show Bob in person you should be on the team.

Probably won’t pick Emery now!

Looks like I missed a helluva game. Damn. Grandkids had 2 volleyball games and a soccer match. I caught bits and pieces of the broadcast for the first two periods. Got home and saw the score. NICE!

“In the back of the net!!!” Is a call you hear him make often… again for both teams. Hopefully he says it more times for UND tomorrow than the gophers

I thought the calls on both teams were very soft. The refs have gone a bit overboard on slashing in particular.

It’s the NCAA.
