You need special approval (visitors) to not wear "light color" jerseys at home.

NCAA Hockey rulebook 9.1:
The visiting team shall wear dark-colored jerseys and stockings; the home team shall wear light-colored jerseys and stockings. Uniform numbers must be a light-colored number on dark jerseys and a dark-colored number on light jerseys. All players of each team shall dress uniformly in that day’s game jersey. Light-colored jerseys (e.g., white, gold, yellow or light blue) may be worn during the regular season by the visiting team only when the teams have agreed before the game. If the teeams are unable to agree, the visiting team will wear dark-colored jerseys.

They've done it before, haven't they? Or are you just implying Minny wouldn't agree?

I would imagine Minny wouldn’t agree

UND wore the buisness suits last time Minny played in the Ralph. Green on Friday and black on Saturday.

I think the boys will be feeding off the energy in the Ralph tonight ... one of two things will happen, either they'll use the energy to get a lot of early scoring opportunities or they will be too amped and take early penalties.  I wouldn't be surprised to have a Motzko lead team poking the bear early to try and get retaliation.

It is on Jackson and Co to ensure the right outcome of these two scenarios.

From what I saw last weekend, our team will not come out flat. Feels like we have a group of guys who give effort. Execution needs to continue to improve, but effort will stand out in a series like this.

UND wins 4-2

Reschny, Liver, Croal, Menghini

I suggest we get the cliche’s out of the way early, since they seem to be obligatory.  A start:

Play a full 60,

One shift at a time,

Stay out of the box, but

Play Sioux hockey,

Crisp passes,

This above all:  Beat the bastids within an inch of their lives.

For those in the Twin Cities metro, game available on Fox 9+ if you can live with Jim Rich and Pat Micheletti on the call.

Are they not just using the midco feed?

Hope I'm wrong, but I don't feel great about this evening.  Got a 3-2 Minnesota type vibe.

Its a long season, but tonight will say a lot about the new regime.  Can the kids handle the moment?

Can we all agree to stay away from the overpasses if this happens?

Gophs haven’t taken many penalties at all, they seem to be very disciplined so far. Guessing power plays will be in their favor as our young forwards  may feel the pressure and cross the line. Grand forks, our fans and everyone has hyped this series so much that I think it will get into the heads of our younger players and throw off their games, forcing mistakes. It’s a big series but the pedestal placed on it this year doesn’t favor us. Hope I’m proven otherwise

Tonight: 3-2 gophs

Saturday: 5-1 good guys

If we lose tonight it only makes sense to start the "Axe Jax" thread.
