Look, we all want what's best for UND but none of us are truly "in the know" of what goes on and how to lead a program. Could the longtime assistant finally get his chance to show the world what he can do as a head coach or does an outside coach come in and totally fumble the ball and drags the program down? If Jackson can bring some assistants on board it might be the change we need. 1 Quote

I don’t think I need to re-hash what has been discussed over and over again. But simply put, more of the same. Time to try something different. Jacks may be a different person but my gosh he has been here for 19 years. He has been apart of the success and the failures. 4 Quote

The Sicatoka Posted Tuesday at 08:45 PM Posted Tuesday at 08:45 PM Fine. I'm available. Tell Bill I'll sign the paper in his office in the morning. Warning to my new squad: Skate or Sit 2.0 is coming in hot. 1 Quote

He's not universally loved in the locker room. Not saying the players should have a huge say…but the question would be will more key players stay or bolt should Dane get the nod? Quote

Honestly, I don't think it is more of the same with Dane. Berry probably shouldn't have brought in Simpson and he probably should have let Karl go a few years ago but his loyalty to them might have backfired. If Dane is the guy, he could totally revamp his staff the way he sees fit. Either way, whoever they bring on as the next HC, the fanbase will be split 50/50 on if they like that person (and their staff). Quote

siouxweet Posted Tuesday at 08:52 PM Posted Tuesday at 08:52 PM I don't think we would have to worry about Dane jumping ship for the Gophers. Quote

Disagree. Who knows how it will work out and Jackson could end up being the right call, but if the two options were Jackson or anybody else. I'm guessing the fan base would prefer anybody else. 1 Quote
Cratter Posted Tuesday at 08:52 PM Posted Tuesday at 08:52 PM Dane Jackson would be proof if you hang out in the right circles long enough, there's a good chance your number will likely be called eventually. Waiting 20 years is a long time. I'm not sure that's a pro or a con. Quote

Especially, if the new guy has the ability and passion to reach new heights for NIL, which reportedly Raboin would be good at. Jackson will be more of the same old school hockey and thinking, and no doubt will sign a lifetime contract for UND to play Bemidji State. Would love to know how he felt about Montgomery playing in place of Croal, Komzak and Littler. Being the leader of the penalty kill, I would think he should have some pull to get Croal in the lineup, which makes me think he was good with Montgomery. Who recruited Monty to begin with, and how did we get the wrong one. 2 Quote
