In comes SCSU.  They are 8th in the PWR.....we are...(closes eyes...looks.....) 27th...thanks for nothing Cornell.  Guessing none of the injured guys are back, so we are what we are with available bodies going into this one.  

Most signs point to a split in this one, but this team needs a sweep like I need a tee time at Augusta. 

SCSU is down Isak Posch for a while, so backup goaltenders in the Huskies net this weekend.  Last weekend they had a 4 point weekend at home against angry Stue and the mavs.

Anything less than a sweep is unacceptable.....per @Goon.

I'm trying to get a full 24 in today.  I feel like my start wasn't the best, but at the end of the day the culture I've instilled in this household will take over and guide us through today.  I feel like although early didn't go great, I was still battling, and I loved my effort even though I wasn't getting any breaks.

He’s been skating and he made the trip to Oxford so I take that to mean he’s close. Jamernik is also skating so he could be a possibility too. So we will see on those two.

Good analysis WIlbur, but I feel like it was lacking a "here" or two. Maybe "I feel like although early didn't go great here".

Based on how the season has gone so far I’d have to agree. I don’t think there are any Saturday games we have won where we lost the night before this season.

This could be a huge turning point in the right direction for the season, or it could leave a nasty taste in our mouths over the holiday break. It could either way. I have no confidence in either one.

Heading into the break, no reason not to leave it all out on the ice.  This series should have playoff level compete level from the guys in green.

To go 4-1-1 (with 1 win in OT) against RMU, BSU and Miami does not instill a lot of confidence ... but if this past weekend was as "defining" as I've read this weekend should bear acceptable results.  I will remain cautiously optimistic.  Demand a sweep, tolerate a split, burn the ships if we get swept.

I’ll be honest. Based on the mediocre season we are having and the impressive season SCSU is having, most signs point to the huskies grabbing 5/6 points in our barn. I’m at the point where if we get a split, I’ll be happy and take that as progress because we haven’t beaten a quality team since BU 7 weeks ago. Our PK and 5x5 D zone coverage are too poor to have confidence in us managing a split.

Getting Croal back in the lineup was a noticeable boost to the team this weekend and it seems fair to say that we would have lost or tied one of those games without him. He has the same number of points as Wilkie in half the games and much less ice time. Get him more ice time somehow. 

If Macdonald and Jammer are only at 75% they should play this weekend  (depending on the type of injury, of course). Even if it’s just on the PK or to help in a late 1-goal game or late tie game. It will be 3 weeks until the Manitoba exhibition and 4 weeks until ASU for them to rehab. We need their hockey brains on the ice for defensive sake.
