This is the worst one I’ve seen. Neither UND or YSU in the top 16?

Any chance at all we get left out if we win on Saturday?

I don't think that would happen, but stranger things have happened with selection committees.

Zero.

If we win this Saturday and USD is higher than us, that is a complete joke if you look at the body of work of the entire season.

I agree, and am concerned about this happening. UND really needs to beat SDSU by more than USD did. We had much performances vs. NDSU and several other common opponents. I just hope Larsen's absence from the committee helps us in that regard, because you know we'd get no favors if he were still around.

Whoever made this is, is on crack unless they have us losing to SDSU. That is only way we are ranked out of top 16 I believe. I think probably 10-13 if we win.

They say "Untapped" but I think they've been pullin' off the keg a while when they came up with that.

PS - if they assume a UND loss, where's SDSU?

Goes without saying the most important result on Saturday is UND beating SDSU. Based on the Untapped Playoff projection, I made a list of games UND fans should be watching. I'm only interested in games that have large implications on seeding. Team in bold we should be cheering for.

Just saw another national bracket (FCS Football Central) which also does not have UND as a top 16 seed. Seems to be the general consensus. See above. Win and cheer for some upsets.

Lafayette-Lehigh is worth keeping an eye on as well.

Are these "as of today" scenarios, or are they making predictions based off how they think the final weekend goes?  I honestly would be surprised that a win would not get UND to a seed.

Our only losses would be against Kansas State and top 10-15 FCS schools by single digits.  Zero chance we wouldn't get seeded imo.

SDSU is playing for their season. They will be desperate.

Some think sdsu gets in even if they lose because of who they are , even with a 5 game losing streak.’

the games to watch are those who upset a 1 bid conference and get an AQ.

Good question. I believe they are based off of how they think the final weekend goes.

And what we know in the past an FBS loss does not go against the team right?

What they say and what is negotiated behind closed doors have proven to be two different things. But in an interview with a committee member last year it was said that an FCS win can help you, but an FCS loss can't hurt you. Thus UND with a win would be considered 8-3 to the committee (it would seem).

I enjoy UND Football, but come playoff time Hockey is way ahead of football.  There should never be a question on who is in the playoff and who is out.  As a guy that like things black and white, I hate the FCS playoffs system.

Not a fan of stogies and scotch and dimly lit smoky back rooms with "experts" espousing their "wisdom" whilest sitting in high-backed leather wing chairs?

Al Davis offers an alternative: Just win, baby.

It got a lot better when they took out bidding for home games and seeded 16 teams.

Yeah, just need to not be on the bubble. College football playoff system (FBS) has the same issue if you’re on the bubble …

Technically high school football and NFL have similar concerns for teams that are on the fringe also…

All in all, the response is simply win and leave no doubt.

NFL goes strictly by record, nothing subjective about it.

Even winning you have ADs in a Smokey room so to speak determining seeds and byes.

it’s kind of a joke

Most of those upsets are longshots at best.   I'd say the best chances are Southern Illinois and (maybe) Sac State.
