He basically rescued the program and set us up, now it's up to Schmidtty to capitalize and finally get us over the hump 10 Quote

That should speed things up. 2 Quote

Weren't two of Bubba's best years with Muss's recruits? Granted Muss didn't do much with those players but they were left here for Bubba. Quote

I guess the 7 and 9 win teams had Muss Recruits on them, but Bubba and his staff are the ones the got the wins. I can't give Muss credit for what Bubba got done those years. Ironically Muss had very good Offensive players and Bubba got the team to play decent Defense, which resulted in Wins. Toward the end of Bubba time we were praying for a Decent Defense. 1 Quote

I know for sure that Golladay left and didn't play for Bubba. Not sure how many stuck around vs. left. Maybe couldn't have kept him but I blame the admin for not having a chance because the search took so long. Quote

He had the FBS mindset and knew he was good enough to have a shot at the pros. I never blamed Bubba for Kenny leaving. IIRC he announced for NIU within days of Muss being gone so the long search made no difference. Quote

He was gone before Bubba was hired so no blame there. Quote
Oxbow6 Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Just took a look at next year's home schedule. Just 5 games and might be the worst home schedule I can remember as season ticket holder. Quote
ND-fan Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago I just looked I think you miss counted there are six home games this fall. We play Portland State, Valpriaiso, Youngstown State, Indiana state, NDSU, and SDSU at home. The last two being better of the home games because of rivalries. Quote

Home/away alternating weekends the whole season. 1 Quote

Bumps the home schedule up to a 4 out of 10. Quote

Going to be a fun time bringing fb championships back to the northernmost (better) end of I29. 1 1 Quote

Valpo never excites me no matter where we play them. Same goes for other teams like Drake which tend to show up every few years. I don't care if it's an easy win. If we need to schedule crap teams to pad the record we aren't ready for the playoffs. 2 Quote

As we all know until UND can beat the SUs on a regular basis there is little room for error on the schedule every year. Last year's collapse is unexplainable, thinking the turn around could start right away this year. 1 Quote
