He obviously turned it around the last 2 years, but previously, Nielson has had a 4 game losing streak (to end a season), 5 of 6 to end a season, two 3 game losing streaks in one season, lost 3 in a row to end the covid season before finishing 1-3 and then went 3-8 before having very solid showings the last 2 years.

We’re close! Day by day!

Doesn’t sound like this is happening. Said they wouldn’t edit out the logo from throwback merch but that’s all that’s been decided.

2 years of eligibility? I remember someone on here pounding their fist about how he’d only have 1 year left

Must be targeting a lower level if he's going to play 2 more years. If he dropped to a part-time student this semester, it wouldn't count against his D2 eligibility clock.

Probably the reason for the asterisks.

He's got family in Bismarck and a sister on the U of Mary soccer team. Was at a St Johns game this fall as well.

Clearly with the portal it's important to keep your key players while at the same time, shedding guys who didn't pan out making room for upgrades. Maybe I'm just projecting here, but does anyone else think there will be less "key" players that enter than would have originally? Almost the opposite of what you'd expect.

Very interested to see how UND approaches the portal this offseason. Please, please target more FBS dropdowns, especially on defense and WR.

WR for sure. We got guys returning that would struggle to find the field at MSUM

Why is UND afraid of true freshmen?

DeBoer/'bama has a true freshman 17 y/o.

Play your best, not your oldest.

Not just true freshmen.. but player development in general.  Either the cupboard is bare or the bubba led teams were not great at player development.  As bad as the defense was.. where were the young player minutes.. QB minutes.. WR minutes..
