The fact that O-mac still hasn't scored is probably one of the most shocking things to me....he was supposed to be the scoring machine

I’ve never seen him as a big goal scorer, but pt production should be there as an upperclassman. 7 in 12 with his looks is dreadful. Actually there may only be like a handful of players producing how they should. Maybe Louie as the only player overachieving…and that’s it.

So your saying the coaching staff is not developing these players once they get here or not using them correctly ?

My theory, which is absolutely zero legit value, is Berry & Co have such intense focus on the defensive side of forwards (which they need to get time in the NHL) that the scoring touch and creativity diminishes.  I Googled Holiday Inn Express last week, so I'm probably as correct as the average dart throwing monkey.

I found the perfect way to relax after this game...2005 Frozen Four against Minny; the 3 Matt's (Smaby, Jones, Greene) are featured in the pregame and Gary Thorne and Bill Clement have the call.  If you want some old school, in your face, Fighting Sioux hockey this game will do.  You even get a young-ish Erin Andrews interviewing Erik Fabian during the first intermission.:D  Spoiler Alert:  Fabian and Zajac both score twice in a Sioux victory!

I forgot about Erin Andrew’s. Kinda ironic that her (her husband) and Greener are good friends now

Yea, if only message board posters could keep their composure like Buffalo Bills fans.  You know, the ones who think diving onto a table and breaking it in two is cool.

You're not a fan unless you accept any and every result, even if it's awful!

Not even close to what I was saying.

However, when it's a 2-0 lead in a game before Thanksgiving and people are already ruling out the playoffs...that makes the forum depressing.

Or questioning if buying West Regional tickets 10 days ago was worth it knowing there is a good possibility you will be watching four team you couldn't care less about.

Double bonus points if RMU qualifies and gets placed in Fargo?

Throw in DU and I'll be giving someone $20 a ticket just to take them of my hands.

I think it’s a continuation of poor play/results the last third of last season and now the first third of this season. Yah, two different teams (some players departed and some new one’s arrived) but it’s the same program.

I think UND has figured out their trigger guy off each wall on the PP now that Berg is out.  Boisvert and Perron have got to shoot the puck.  Don't screw around with over/indirect passing.

Boisvert's pp goals so far have come from Ovechkin's goal scoring spot in the cicle. Why don't they so that during 5x5 with either guy?

Worked a couple times last night.
If teams start to key in on that, they can utilize bumper guy...they've done that a couple times too, although I don't recall it working for a goal as of yet.
Boisvert is such a natural goal scorer.  Will be fun to watch his progress over the next couple (hopefully) seasons.

This part’s always stood out to me - Goehring has consistently maintained an NHL style bumper position on the PP, but they never score. Most of the time they don’t even get the shot off which is a recipe for an easy clearance the other way.

They had one Grade-A shot from there last night which stood out because it’s so rare, but if they can make that position a true threat, it would be a game changer (paging Oshie) on an already reasonably effective PP. Until then, at least the bumper draws lots of defensive attention and opens up space up top, even if it amounts to a decoy position with our current system.

I was thinking about this a few days ago how players leave and have more success (during Brad's tenure as HC).

Moore: at UND 7-20-27; at QU 3-21-24 (*)

Costantini: at UND 10-14-24; at WMU 13-21-34*)

B.Johnson: at UND 3-6-9; at OSU 6-18-24 (*)

L.Bast: at UND 3-6-9; at UMD 2-7-9 (*)

Portz: at UND 4-12-16; at SCSU 4-2-6 (*)

Beniot: at UND 0-1-1; at QU 0-0-0 (*)

Emerson: at UND 0-0-0; at MC 1-1-2 (*)

Blaisdall: at UND 2-14-16; at UNH 13-12-26 (5)

Tychonick: at UND 4-11-14; at UNO 13-29-42 (5)

Ch.Wilkie: at UND 6-13-19; at CC 29-21-50

Gornall: at UND 3-1-4; at RPI 6-21-27 (5)

With Beniot and Emerson being outliers and Bast being even.

It's largely been the same since Hak left.

Maybe it's clear from those stats, but are those for equal games played/years?
