7 obviously

I concur, 7. The ball and chain had enough of my opining on Fighting Sioux Hockey, so I joined with fellow, passionate fans on this blog.  Athletes and coaches, who in general are cocky, arrogant, and should I say, a little self-immersed with selves, should be quite able to shrug of the forums’ posts.  If not, THEN SUCK IT UP BUTTERCUP!!!

LITTLE WOODENBOY! HOW IN ALL OF CREATION, DID MY THERAPIST MAKE IT INTO THIS FORUM?!!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe you guys took that literally.   The markers were there.   Lame?  Probably.   But . . . .

I could see it if a bunch of newbies took that literally, but lots of regulars bought it!

What is the agenda of this site?

1.  Is it revenge?

2. Is it to shame the coaching staff?

3. Is it to help create a stronger program?

4. Is it to weaken the program?

5. Is it just to lampoon as a joke?

6. Is it to discourage young, talented, possible recruits, not to come play at UND.

7.  Is it a self-gratifying exercise of trolling?

8. Is it frustration?

9. What is it?

It's whatever you want it to be; you want a place to celebrate or vent?  This is the place!  Personally, I like to read the postgame stuff because there's always stuff I miss during games that gets discussed/explained.  Yes, there's a lot of crap but make no mistake, what goes on here has zero impact on the program, coaches, and players.  Just my two cents.

So the team supposedly has locker room issues , poor performance at critical times, poor discipline and doesn’t play a full sixty and we are the whiners on this board, come on man!

I’m reading elsewhere that I shouldn’t bother unless I bring an open check book.

You may not be referring to my post, but I did post my thoughts on what I would consider a more effective way to communicate with admin. I included a recommendation to bring your checkbook but if that wasn’t a way we could contribute, a then ask what we can do to help.

I'm one who has no problem with people who are critical of the program/administrators/coaches and who express those views in strong terms.  Free and open criticism should be encouraged; it's often what keeps us honest.   That said, it's hard to have much sympathy for critics who consider themselves victims.  These sites are generally anonymous and completely risk and responsibility free.  Probably why we users are often so sure of ourselves.

I'm just a victim of my own stupidity for buying regional tickets that are probably gonna be worthless....again....and again.

Yeah, but that's also cool.   Like the loyal bleacher fans at Wrigley Field during all those years when the Cubs fell short every year.

I like it. Not ideal, clearly, but as long as Berry is coaching, I hope everyone embraces being the loveable losers. I know I have. Remember when they printed over 10K towels to lay on the seats for the 1st round? Very funny! In all seriousness, Berry's bad luck will turn around! % chance isn't zero either that they win a NCAA playoff game again at some point! Not this year, but maybe next!

Luck may play a part in some of the stuff that's happened with the team, but it goes way beyond that.  And as far as loveable losers, I'm just not ready to embrace that for a team that I feel can play at a much higher level.  I like the fact that UND is expected to be in the NCAA's every year; and have home ice for the conference tourney every year; and be a team nobody wants to face every year; and be in the conversation for a National Championship every year.  This program has a history of high achievement; why would we want to settle for less than that?

I’m with ya, this team should not be fighting for home ice first round or be in pairwise jeopardy, way too much talent.
if Berry is here next year he needs to figure out to play his best players regardless of what year they are and find lines that work before Xmas and let them develop some chemistry. Lastly he needs to be able to motivate and fire this team up to play in important games, maybe ask former coaches what works. Ps it would also be good not to give up goals first and last minute, just sayin.

If Berry is still coaching, not having this year's Seniors class will absolutely do wonders for him next year. Not sure if there has ever been a bigger addition by subtraction from a group before.

Seems to me that there was a guy who did that for over a decade and plenty of people were trying to run him out of town and were very pleased when he left...

Excellent article on David Carle in The Athletic. Sounds like he’s quite the coach, from recruiting to player management to Xs and Os to culture. Don’t see our guy being able to beat him very often…

DC is a great coach. But he does have a losing record against Bubs overall. Just saying…
