Oxbow6 Posted November 5, 2023 Posted November 5, 2023 UND should want to see BU in the NCAAs. Wasn't impressed. Minny is much better. 1 2 Quote
Username Taken Posted November 5, 2023 Posted November 5, 2023 Huge win. Overcame terrible officiating. I was not impressed with BU last night at all but tonight was a different story. Hutson and Celebrini are the real deal. Their dmen are also exceptionally good at eluding shot blockers and getting pucks to the net. BU will live and die by those two guys. Quote
neoflex Posted November 5, 2023 Posted November 5, 2023 Great win! Good split. Now let's get away from the Big East so I don't have to listen to these dunkin' donut Jokers announcing the game. 1 1 Quote

bcblues Posted November 5, 2023 Posted November 5, 2023 How can the refs be that bad? Was one of the refs named Disbelief? Quote

nodakgirl93 Posted November 5, 2023 Posted November 5, 2023 So head to head it's 1-1 against bu for the season? Even tho we didn't get a full win tonight it will still be huge down the road for pairwise. Quote
Oldguy Posted November 5, 2023 Posted November 5, 2023 Good result for a good effort. Still coughing up the puck in our own zone too much, but the support to move the puck up ice was solid tonight. BU is as-advertised. Highly skilled upfront, but they aren't exactly great defensively. Their GT had a big weekend. Until the very last play, I was thinking "Blake has sure been quiet". Quote
AlphaMikeFoxtrot Posted November 5, 2023 Posted November 5, 2023 I had a CHN notification about a PPG by Celebrini but then it wasn't listed later, so was one waved off? Quote

Yes for sure. Especially UW if they keep rolling. They're rolling over these other B10 powers so far. The loss to us is the only blemish on their record thus far. Quote

Hans8891 Posted November 5, 2023 Posted November 5, 2023 Blake’s last rush was incredible. Diced through everyone like they were standing still. Nice work. Good outcome and felt like we deserved this one. Quote
burd Posted November 5, 2023 Posted November 5, 2023 All told, a very encouraging series for this young (to each other) team. And at this early point of the season as well, after doing well against the most talented teams in the country. I don't think many fans expected these results back in May. Certainly things to fix, but a lot to build on. 1 Quote
rochsioux Posted November 5, 2023 Posted November 5, 2023 Overtime win shows up as a win on your record which is meaningless. Pairwise is the only thing that really matters (unless your record is under .500). For Pairwise it is 2/3 win 1/3 loss. Too many unforced errors tonight, seems like we panic with the puck too often. There are lots of factors in the pairwise that determines your pairwise ranking. An ot win tonight goes in the win column which helps. 2 Quote
Esoteric Posted November 5, 2023 Posted November 5, 2023 Both of these games were entertaining and lessons were learned and lessons reinforced. I liked the new combinations in lines 1,2,3. I believe these lines are better use of the players skill set. This week hopefully these lines will jell in practice. 1 Quote

You get credit for 2/3 win and 1/3 loss. 1 Quote

Popular Post jk Posted November 5, 2023 Popular Post Posted November 5, 2023 A couple random observations. I like that Johannes, Berg and James don't mind heading to the net and shooting. Fancy is nice and we have a good dose of that this year, but there's a place for power moves and ripping a shot. I also like that Livanavage doesn't like to sit back and get things set before heading up ice. He gets the puck and goes. Hard to believe he's just a month into his college career. 1 8 Quote
