Almost doesn't matter what the schedule is. We will win most games at the Alerus, lose most games away from the Alerus and if we have enough home games to make the playoffs we lose the first playoff game. I still say this program has never recovered from the NDSU loss in 2021. The UND Football Coaching Job should not be an ultimate destination for a coach. Our position as a farm program for FBS programs should also include being a farm program for coaches. The fact our current HC has been here over a decade in this day and age should tell you all you need to know about how (and why) UND football is in a bad place right now. Need a more enthusiastic, big plans type of guy at head coach, which is exactly why losing Danny Freund has been hurtful. They claimed it hurt recruiting, they wanted to reassure the kids that the coach would be around longer. No way does Bubba get to work to the end of his contract in 2025. That’s the best comparison in my opinion.
