Many (most?) schools do that to thank the fans, regardless of win or loss. I really like the UND culture of making it stand for a sweep only.

Hasn't that changed this year? Haven't we been doing stick salutes every Saturday?

I don’t think if we lose? Have we? I guess we haven’t lost on a Saturday yet at home

So ... the key to getting a win on Friday is to play another team with a lower winning percentage on Friday!    CC 1-6 before tonight on Fridays.  (In their defense, there's a lot of one-goal losses in that stretch.)

J/K

Overall, a solid effort.   Credit especially Driscoll who kept us in it while close.  .933 save pct tonight reflects that.  Nice to see Portz get a goal, and reward for alot of hard work.

Senden and Portz were really good last night. Jandric as well.

Arena.....seats just south 3600. Had to show ID and vax info to get in. Masks in arena but no one enforcing it unlike the Ralph Mafia last year. A Colorado virtue signaling more than anything. One concession area with limited options food and beverage wise. Limited restrooms....believe 2 per "identified" gender. Woman's lines much shorter if you feel the need to adjust your identity to go sooner. Very very steep seating. Fans absolutely right on top of each other. Small student section behind goal where CC shoots twice. Visitors locker room across ice so coaches walk across ice to get to bench and locker room. Had a UND couple from New Mexico to our right and another ND UND couple to our left. Clean and modern arena crammed into a small footprint....nothing special. I'd give it a 6 out of 10. Lots of empty seats even though a sellout was announced.

Driscoll reminds me a lot of Zane.....kind of know the game is going start 0-1 before the puck drops. He'll make some outstanding saves but seem to allow in at least one head scratcher most nights. He was better last night than he's been lately. He definitely has the skill to be lights out.

Last few Fridays it took until late in the 2nd or early 3rd for the boys to get going. With a 7:00 pm central start that puts the time around 8:45 pm. Last night it took 10 - 15 minutes for the boys to get into it. With an 8:30 pm central start that puts the time at 8:45 pm.

So clearly the key to winning Friday hockey games…8:45 pm central start times!  :D

I had the distinct honor and privilege of meeting the infamous (and notorious?) @Oxbow6 last night at the game! Look forward to visiting again tonight!

Was a pleasure. Absolutely again this evening. Make sure your wife has your phone along for you tonight though!

At least he had a .93333 save% last night.

He's been terrific tonight

He has a pretty good upside. I think it's only a matter of time before he breaks out. He's got pretty good speed, too.

Reports are Hellsten starting tonight in net.

Confirmed.

Albrecht is an extra warm up skater so one of the top 12 forwards isn't 100% either.
