bcblues Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 Personally, I think they should have went with a plain green sweater. And insisted that they are not referred to as anything OTHER THAN the FIGHTING SIOUX. But then again, some say I am a fanatic. Quote
The Sicatoka Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 And insisted that they are not referred to as anything OTHER THAN the FIGHTING SIOUX. If they had done that: - there'd be no 12:30 pm game on Sat, Mar 24, as the NCAA would advance WMU and forfeit UND out of the tournament - UND'd be on a bus back to Grand Forks - UND'd be getting a bill for the expenses incurred by the NCAA to bring them to the West Regional That's exactly what the letter from the NCAA to UND a couple weeks ago said. Worth it? Mario Lamoureux would tell you, "No." Quote
wsdSIOUXfalls Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 I do like the cap Hak wore during the press conference http://www.grandfork...icle/id/232890/ (perhaps someone else knows how to post the picture, or a better link?) Quote
Hayduke Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 As far as I can tell, this is the first time UND played in an NCAA tournament game without the Sioux name anywhere on their jerseys. And they won. The sky did not fall down. hmmmmmmmmmmmm. 1 Quote

sioux24/7 Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 I really like these jerseys. Although Dell's helmet did kind of look funny but whatever. Quote
Boogieman Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 If they become available to the public, I'll surely add them to my collection. Quote
homer Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 I really liked them as well. Would like to see the other colors but the white ones were sharp and the picture that leaked definately did not do them justice. Quote
Hayduke Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 They looked just fine. Still prefer the Sioux jersey. But, WTH? They can win without it! Quote
UND Alum Fan Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 THAT was cool! Thanks! Now that is a picture!!! Quote
UND Alum Fan Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 I really like the Jerseys - and we won so get to play another day in them!! Quote
sioux24/7 Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 I know the jerseys have the lace holes on the collar but did they actually have laces in it? I saw a picture of Mario and it didn't look like he did. Quote
The Sicatoka Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 I really like these jerseys. Although Dell's helmet did kind of look funny but whatever. That was the mask Dell has worn all season. Quote

Clark17 Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 Must have taken them out for the game. In the leaked picture, Kristo had the laces in. Some of the guys had them today. Quote

Scorpio Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 I thought the Sioux were a second slow on their passing yesterday. They seemed to glance down at their jerseys to be sure they were passing to someone with a similar one on. Quote
siouxkid12 Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Minnesota has their jerseys made by Nike, I thought Nike got out of the hockey game? Quote
MavHockey14 Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 So, do we think they Sioux will never play a game with the Sioux logo on their jerseys ever again? If so I may by an authentic of the reebok one now to have forever. Quote
MafiaMan Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 So, do we think the Sioux will never play a game with the Sioux logo on their jerseys ever again? If so I may by an authentic of the reebok one now to have forever. I'm certain they'll never wear the logo again. Shelled out $250 each for a green and white authentic back in the summer of 2010 and just hammered out a trade with YaneA for a black authentic. Collection complete. Quote
siouxkid12 Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 I just finished out my collection today! Now to work on getting a green and white authentic NIKE! Quote

If so I may by an authentic of the reebok one now to have forever. You know what. I hope they don't. Unless the SL Tribe somehow wins their suit against the NCAA. It wouldn't bother me if the UND administration just ignored the "law without teeth" and dropped all references to the name. Tell Al Carlson and his buddies to kiss their collective rear ends. 1 Quote
MavHockey14 Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 I would prefer we keep the name, but if not, it's not like the traditions the fans have, etc will change anyways? The only difference will be the jersey. I just don't want to miss out on getting my size for the jersey if they never sell them again, etc. Quote

How DARE you talk to the "Prime Minister" of North Dakota that way!!! Seriously, I am with you 100%. Ignore the law and tell "Clueless Al" and his minions to "Just Bring It". I hope the ND Supreme Court does its job so we don't have to worry about it anymore. Quote
