miles1416 Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 The Herald article says they are just removing the logos and "Sioux" sticker from the helmets and taking the logo off the leg of the pants. Black pants, black buckets it is. Boo. Quote
The Sicatoka Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 The reason I like the black pants and helmets is that seldom does the green on the helmet match the green on the jersey match the green on the pants and it's distracting. See: UND FB uniforms. Quote

ScottM Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Boo. Think of it as a small price to pay for the team's contined success. Quote
The Sicatoka Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Is that all it takes to distract you? It takes far more than---SQUIRREL! (We'll see who gets that obscure reference.) 2 Quote
GFG Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Here are UND's new jerseys. Posted in the regional program. Not a huge fan, they could have done something better. I'm sure they'll get different ones in the future, though. https://twitter.com/...5411968/photo/1 Quote
Frozen4sioux Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 First impression is that those are fuglier than I could have possibly imagined............ I hope the poor quality of the pic magically looks better In person..... Shame shame on you hypocrites in INDIANapolis that the true beauty of the Sioux jersey has given way to this ......uhhhgg. That being said........I'll buy one......of each. Quote
talksalot83 Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 They are OK, but I don't really love the three stripes at the elbow. I'm just not a fan of a lot of stripes. I'm sure they were somewhat limited in jersey design since they were made by Gemini. Quote
Let'sGoHawks! Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 They are okay, better than I thought they would be, and much better than the womens new one. But the mens are made by Reebok still, not Gemini, right? Quote
Hayduke Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Who cares? The jersey doesn't make the player or the team. I hope, if anything, it will distract the other team(s). 1 Quote
GeauxSioux Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Really kind of hard to like or dislike them from this picture. I don't hate them, though. Quote
FSSD Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 I assume it would be the same thousands of alumni that are threatening to stop donating to the university if the name is lost. Stupid, I know, but there are thousands of people with that position. I believe that the Champions Club set a record for donations this year. I am sure that some people stopped but thousands... I believe the Champsions Club has approximately 2,500 members.. Quote
Watchout for Flying Pucks Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 It's an alright jersey, but we all know the Sioux will be rocking the X tomorrow!! 1 Quote
stickboy1956 Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Really kind of hard to like or dislike them from this picture. I don't hate them, though. Jersey design similar to Hockey Canada with an extra stripe Without a logo to use I wasn't surprised to see North/#/Dakota on the front. It's over - now just win, baby. Quote
Siouxfan_inDenver Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Sure looks like they say Reebok on them. I like em. I want all three in my closet. Quote
passit_offthegoalie Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 You know Jess Myers leaked that picture to stir $h!* up and try to create a distraction for UND. That guy is such a smug little twerp. Quote
Big A HG Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 At first they didn't seem so bad. The more I look at it, the more the loosely spaced three stripes becomes awkward. I don't mind what they did on the front or shoulders at all. I'll wait to see a colored pic to pass judgment. One thing I think people will like is it seems there is a lot more green. Quote

Would have been nice if UND would have been responsible for introducing them to the public instead of Myers. Quote

Can't wait to see them in color myself. Already, I like these way better than the women's jerseys. Quote
Big A HG Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Sometime today, probably this afternoon sometime, I will mock these up in color. I'm curious to see what the back font looks like on these. After a little further inspection. What really bugs me about the front is how small they had to make the "NORTH DAKOTA" because there wasn't enough room with the numbers and such wide striping. I like the style, just lessen the spacing in the stripes, maybe ditch the front number, and make the "NORTH DAKOTA" pop. Quote
